I've got one 600w light on at the minute, Will this timer be good enough it's heavy duty the only problem is one don't get the 600HID bit when you click on product details, My light is a 600w hps will it still be okay to use? Please reply before i drive to the ground shop and get it tomorrow it's only 15 minute drive from me.I would recommend using a contactor for 600 watts, or at least a heavy duty timer. If you use a regular cheap timer there's a good chance it will get stuck on or off eventually.

Cheers buddy ill pop to the grow shop tomorrow and buy it it's only 15 minutes drive I have never bothered with timers before I wouldn't off had this problem if the missus didn't book a weekend away for bank holiday without telling me lol!Yea that will be fine. Hps is the bulb type and hid is the type of ballast.
Drove to the grow shop this morning and the guy in there recommended to me a heavy duty timer a "powerplant" one it only set me back £10 set it up earlier on we'll see if it works tonight at 12 lolI would recommend using a contactor for 600 watts, or at least a heavy duty timer. Thanks for the link. Are these things totally 100% reliable? I mean, I would love to use them but I'm just thinking about bugs in apps and shit. The timer is something that cannot screw up.Sorry I am late to the party, but I love my Sonoff devices

With these, I can program on off schedules and monitor wattage, remotely from my phone.
I've been using them for 2 grows and no issues other than I don't think the humidity monitor is accurate. There is a Sonoff thread here on riu that has a lot of information. Some people are hacking them so they can be used with common home automation programs, but as of now I am just using the ewelink app on my phone. I don't think you can monitor or control with a pc unless you do the hack. Right now I have 4 of the switching modules wired into 1' long extension cords, the humidity/temperature control module, and a couple of the outlets. I have 3 light systems and 2 far red initiator pucks being run off them. Thanks for the link. Are these things totally 100% reliable?
