wtf is this?...wierd growth on buds/plant

so i was taking a plant down after leaving it flower a bit too long and i noticed some of the lower bugs and part of the stem have this hard brown fungus like growth on them. i just wanna know what it is and if i should burn my grow tent down and start new.
