I've never tried to justify pedophilia, numbnuts. I have a personal and cultural bias against it.

I have tried to justify leaving people who are capable of consenting to something alone if they aren't inflicting themselves on others.

Since you brought it up...you allude to "an age of consent" , why does that vary from one legal jurisdiction to another ? Is it something in the water or is possible that it isn't a universal thing ?
