The difference between the Rapid LED Emerson Board and the GrowMau5 FAR Red Initiator puck.

Are these two things basically the same in function?

Rapid LED Emerson Board

its a 2 channel board, so you need to hook them up differently to utilize the Night Time spectrum. You need to hook up a controller to use them independent. Emerson is the combination of 660nm and 730Nm. Night is just the 730nm

the puck, is just NightTime, but you can use it during the day if you wish, although weak for Emerson effect on a growth scale.

I use the Puck, does what it does. Hooked to a sonoff to time control it. Love it. but may get the Board down the road, I really like the chilled board.

Ok so I’ve been doing a little reading on the board and Emerson’s effect, Am i correct to assume i could run the board during the day and then use the puck a few mins before and after lights out?

yes, but just 5-10 minutes AFTER all lights out. (puck)
