Can a 400watt HPS produce 3+ ounces?

I have a 400watt HPS in a 2'8"x2'8"x5'3" space. SMALL, I know (just trying to Dense buds)

Anyway Ill probably flower 2/3 plants just because im throwing 6 in there to start with off seed.

HOW MUCH DID YOUR HPS YIELD?

with a 400w sodium 5'x5'x6'.....6 plants harvest 2 every 3 weeks move in two more ect getting bout 200gms dried every three have almost the same size clone/mother room also you should have no problem pulling 3 ounces of dank nugs that wouldn't even be a 1/2gm a watt you should get 200gms add C02 and that number will go up hope that helps your gonna need to get a cool tube or a fan something real good cause I see small space and hot lamp I don't like my room over 80f heats a killer

A 4x4 area is about the max for a 400 watt HPS. There are things you can do to increase the yield with that light but you would need a little more space. I see no reason why you couldn't get 4+ ounces there if you manage the space right.

i agree 6 oz. is a good number ive gotten up to 9 with side lighting but 4 is a good number to shoot for

I use a 400W HPS over a 12 plant trays. I average 2 1/2 to 3 lbs per tray although I'm just now setting up a tray with 6 plants in a SCROG configuration. I'm hoping to see the same or better yields... We'll see.

Dude, I wish I had that much space. Im doing all of this in my room:wall:,
BUT i do have a cool-tube for it, and duct, and a 4" inline fan;-).

How would I get a small clone/mother box if I build it they would have to be supported by cfls?

Hows everyone else's HPS

My last harvest was about 9 oz off of 6 plants under a 400whps with no side lighting. So yes, 3+ oz is absolutely possible.

the largest plant in my last harvest of bagseed was 8 ozs wet. after dry and cure she was a little over 3 ozs.
400hps, fox farms 3 pack, molasses. vegged about 16 days and flowered 87 days.

the largest harvest i've had so far with any strain of seeds i've purchased was with g-13Xhaze. I consistently get 1 oz off them after cure. im in the process of cloning them and picking the best phenos for moms to see if i can get a better yeild per watt.

i did a 400 once i trained the plant to have the branches around the light so the light dropped down the middle of the plant and i had a 5 gallon pot i yielded over 8 ounces . VEg was 6 weeks though and watch heat i used fan right at light witch worked for me

I have to call bullshit on that buddy! I've seen a grow were someone yielded one pound with a 400 watt.
Maybe if your running a few 1000 watters you would get 3 pounds. There is absolutely now way you are getting those kind of yields, no way!

Wow, I am impressed. 16 ounces + 1 400watter, thats a fucking beast set up right there.

Hopefully ill get 4-5 ounces off it..

my boy got 6.5oz dried with several cfls off of two plants. if you take good care of them i dont see why you couldnt unless it is a low yielding plant by genetics.

yea i thimk bull shit to ive seen a pound and came damn close to a pound myself but the quality wasn't their
