How are the water cooled lights working?
Its a bit of a "system" to keep in a small space but I'm liking it so far. Would love to have a spread of strips or quantum boards but I would have to get somehow to the plants or put the light on the other wall, which would be blinding me every time I open the tent.
I'm liking the fact I can redirect the heat back to the tent, keeping the cobs efficient and plants at the right temps.
Downside is that it takes space in the tent that could be used for a bigger nute res and its harder to get the to the plants or get them in and out when they are full height.
WC overhead QB like Yours would be brilliant in this scenario, if they would fit to the tent. What is the status on those lenses? Are they coming out to the market ?

It's amazing how far this system has evolved in the past year or so. I love the side-lighting. Those run-to-waste airpots rock, too.
Only thanks to the combined knowledge of RIU community
How are You keeping Brother ?
How is growth on back side (reflective side) of flowers ?
Flowers are well developed at the back wall. Think of penetration from multiple light sources and that the light only have to go through min of 20cm (8in) and max of 30cm (12") of the plant structure. Especially with defoliation. Its really not that much in comparison to some of the classic horizontal grows.

Ladies streatching is a bit overwhelming. The internodal spacing on some of them is close to 17.5cm (7") ! Worst case scenario some heads will be cut. I think I have them a bit too much of Far Red (15min at light off). Reduced that to 5min and will bump that up when stretch stops.
All looks good anyway. All ladies look happy and I'm waiting for the stretch to slow down so I can do some trimming. No sign of flowers yet. Last time it took them 12days and they are at day 8 or 9 after flip so not much longer until things get interesting again :D

I'm good. And, by the looks of it, so are you! For someone who claimed to be relatively new to growing 12 months ago, You've Come a Long Way, Baby. :bigjoint:

Well yeah, Im about 2 maybe 3 years into "bonsai" so relatively new in compatison to some of the guys doing it whole life. I read a lot about growing techniques and try to pay attention when ppl that know their thang are talking. Still plenty to learn, but its cool. I'm open for it :hump:

My overhead lights weren't water cooled. The lights with those lenses are still in development. I like what you're doing.

They were 320W each, I needed two for each 4x6' panel- and they're already obsolete lol
Hahaha, typical :P
At that wattage how hot did they get ? Even if 60°C I would watercooled them anyway :bigjoint:
Have dig out Your old thread and read the details on it again.

First signs of flower today. Thats 10days after the flip. 2 days sooner then the last time, but then again I gave them two more days to recover after the first defoliation.
They started to slow down with the stretch and I had to do the another defoliation session as I will be leaving the plants home alone for 10days. Normally I would wait about a week more.
Had to chop some heads on the upper level and I'm hoping it will be enough and wont get into problems with the fans. If not I'll tuck them to the back.

Hi mae great stuff you’ve got going on here don’t suppose you’ve got any pics of diagrams of how you’ve wired in your digital volt meter into the drivers have you ?

It goes more like this

- L out
- L in
- N in
- N out

Line in goes from the wall and out goes towards the drivers. I'm measuring voltage from the wall, not the drivers if that makes any sense .

Is yours the pzem-021 or has it got external load
Mine runs from top to bottom
Load
Ac in
Ac in
Load ?
So if I run the ac in on the wall side then the load through the driver side is that right ?

Thanks mate did you wire both drivers through one meter ? I really like your water cooled frame idea one of the best cob cooling ideas I’ve seen much smaller than passive and far nearer than active. Great job
