dose a plant say by each foot have an avarage yield? Like I’m growing a jack herer from greenhouse seeds at a foot high then switching to 12/12 for flower will you at least get an Oz?

Your plant should double in height while at 12/12 because you used a short veg time. Longer veg time = bigger plant = bigger yield. Let her veg until she is at least 20-24 inches before switching to 12/12. Even more if using a 5 gallon pot. An average plant that gets 12/12 at 12 inches will produce a fraction of an oz. usually.

Quit being so impatient and grow it out. Why waste months of constantly checking on it only to end up with a sub par amount of weed. If you want to grow shit in a hurry then look into mushrooms, with weed your patience will reward you greatly

Sorry dudes it’s because the fact I’m doing a cabinet grow, should of said that at the start, so the reality I can’t let it get too big lol I’m gonna veg for 60 days then flip it unless she get a lot bigger b4 then lol cheers guys

How tall your plant is doesn't matter to much. Its the canopy area that counts. That's why when purchasing seeds you have a m2 yield guideline.

Look into scrogs and such to help keep your plant smaller in height but fill your canopy area. If you have light hitting the floor your wasting canopy area.

Its also going to depend on what your vegging with and what your flowering with.

Vegging with HPS will give you larger internode spacing so more height with less buds on a branch.
Where with MH or high blue cfl or led you will get closer internodes and thus come flower a more solid filled out cola.

In flower having more watts per square foot will give you bigger buds from top to bottom to a certain extent.

There are lots of other variables, strain, environment, training, plant health ect ect ect…

Like Luke said, look into scrogs if your limited in space. Look into SOG if your limited on time.
You need to fill your space the best way you can to get the most from it.

Awesome guys these are the things I come here for good knowledge and pointed into the correct direction, this is my first grow so not really wanting to be nipping the tops or anything just yet but happy to train the plant for more light coverage, I’ve use of 2 CFL lights at the mo and a mini LED strip light, depending on how she’s grows and what way i will invest in some more to position around the cabinet so my main goal is keeping her alive for the full grow and hopefully get at least an Oz to make it worth while, so it’s all a learning curv this one round and just seeing how things work and the aspect of growing

Sounds good man, those are the goals everyone should start with. Im sure you will learn lots along the way.

Most of us start small and CFLs are a common starting platform. GL with the grow and there is a micro grow section in the indoor area. Maybe worth having a scan through.

It is the common answer to the question. Because there is no way to know how much you will grow. It is about style, skill, genetics, setup etc.

No you will not get a pound from a 1 foot tall plant. Unless you scrogged it 8 x 4 a foot tall or something Then all bets are off.

I was going to say that's crazy! Bet you would get 2-3 oz prob not even that..if you flipped it at a foot tall..

1ft tall, 4 x 4 ft wide..I see a pound.
