Day 00:
This journal will be covered as simply and cleanly as possible. We’ll be running some test seeds for Shoreline Genetics. Focus will be on the plants/phenos and only go over nutrients if something notable changes.

1st training session over and they’ve adjusted to my environment well.

My favorite phenos so far:

Candy Shop (Below)

The fastest growing of all. (Above)

Southern Comfort (Below):

The one to the right was a close runner up.

Lost 1 Southern Comfort
(I assume the issue was caused by dampening off/ hardening off/ not squeezing rockwool firmly enough when planted)
4 Southern Comfort/ 1 Candy Shop (Runts)
Will photograph as soon as they catch up

One of mine self topped. Looked great. Then one of the branches where it topped itself did it again on its own. And the other is throwing extra branches at the nodes and extra fans. It looks like its gonna be a mess. So I'll probably cull it. I have 4 others vegging too. Hopefully one of them ends up nice. What kindve nose are you getting from the candy shop

I have one self topping pheno as well. Mutations like this usually can be fixed with re-distribution of hormones through training and increasing light intensity in my experience. 1 of the runts has a non symmetrical mutation as well, it’s already almost grown out.
I always fight for seeds to get a fair chance just in case there’s any hidden special pheno type. Especially since this is a test run I want to get as much data as possible. As far as smells, the Candy Shop so far just has an evergreen smell with undertones of what I’d say is a dull mint, fresh pine, with a hint of pungency.

Overview of Southern Comfort to Date:
The phenos I have are all sativa dominant in growth structure. Stretch so far has doubled in size in the first week (even for the males that were pulled). At one week the sex shown was minuscule so at this point I’m estimating somewhere between 10-12 weeks of flower or 70-84 Days. The smells have been skunk leaning up to this point, now the chemical smells are starting to appear and blend. Very light feeders up to this point. Super Cropping would benefit these plants so the 6 in veg will begin training today.

Added 7 More Phenos to flower making a total of 9.

Here is a photo of 10 Phenos of Candy Shop/ Southern Comfort from when I cleaned this room out earlier (1/8 didn’t fit comfortably after I put them back in after cleaning so I left it in veg)

Will post close ups with Pheno # when they confirm sex and start to mature. The southern comforts I have all seem to be chem dominant in growth structure but the leaves are much broader then what I’ve seen in Chems. It has blended traits fairly well from what I understand, they don’t seem to be leaning too strongly to one parent.
Looking forward to seeing how the candy shop deals with flower (mostly scent wise) now as well. So far it has grown like a very Indica dominant strain. Node spacing is very tight and the plants have handled training exceptionally.
