He showed up here mocking Buddhism. I don't know what he has against prayer but at least he's consistent about disparaging other people's beliefs.
I'm not mocking Buddhists. But not all of us are Thereveda or Tibetan varieties which all westerners like you seem to think.

I invite you to read, comment, and ask questions in my original thread. I promise to be kind to you and answer any legit question not meant for confrontation with dignity and respect.

You seem to be in some delusion that the hateful language and violence is started by and coming from the anti-hate groups. For evidence of where the real violence comes from, look at the people who are being beaten and dying? They are the people resisting white supremacists. The people who are training up and preparing for violence are the white supremacists. I've been to the demonstrations. 99% of the 3,000 people who showed up to oppose the relatively small crowd of neo-Nazis were orderly. We were loud because we wanted to drown out the hate speech. We confronted them with our speech and our numbers. It's an important political message to send to our police and politicians too.

You have some strange ideas about who those white nationalist hate groups really are. They are not friends of democracy and freedom.
where did i say that? you seem to be cherry picking my statements for me, and deliberately misinterpreting them.
i've never once said i support any racist or hate groups, have indeed said the exact opposite. i don't think "there are good people on both sides"......there are no good racists.
my problem is with what we've ALL allowed our society to become. the entire country has sat back and taken the shit the government tells us for our entire lives. a lot of us don't believe it, but enough do that the status quo is maintained.
i actually don't really care about the stupid ass rallies, they are a symptom, not the disease. the disease is malaise. it's not caring enough to do anything about it. it's not calling out the government on their bullshit. it's not getting involved and making sure you're children are taught useful, correct information in school.
if the disease goes uncured, the symptoms will NEVER stop....
so go ahead and tell me now how attending these rallies and yelling at nazis is your way of participating. thats a bandaid. on a symptom.
while the disease marches on.....

It may be a bandaid but I wouldn’t take anything away from what fog is doing. When I saw the thread at the beginning I was “oh god, it’s a fucking ok sign” once I watched the pics and videos my perspective changed to “fucking racist assholes”. Your right Rodger, it’s a disease and I think, for the most part, hereditary. Now you’ve got a POTUS that is basically saying your a good citizen if your a racist dick. Hopefully this will and has opened a few peoples minds to how screwed up the whole thing has gotten. How could it not?

no, it wasn't my intention to take anything away from Fog, he does what his conscience tells him to do, and i admire that, actually.
but we do have to start doing something about the disease, and pretty damn soon, or it will spread and kill the whole country. and that takes more than bandaids.
it takes education at a young age. it takes integration at a young age. teach children that their racist parents are wrong, whether the parents like it or not. put kids of different ethnic backgrounds together and let them play, and learn together, eat lunch together, and soon they'll be friends, and their parents stupid views will die off, when these kids realize that a person is more than the color of their skin, and that their parent's statements are wrong, that their friends aren't inferior, that they're really pretty much all the same.

I got your message and am thinking about how to respond to the "why can't we just fix the problem" part of the statement. I don't have an answer other than to look at the direction we are heading and taking the steps that I've already laid out to you that I'm doing to head it off. There is more than one way to skin this cat. All I can do is encourage you to do more to facilitate what you say you want for our society.

I will reiterate that all of the heavy violence done to people, the injuries and deaths, are taking place on the side of people who protest against fascism. The hate groups insist that we let them -- hundreds of people who are quite fearsome both in costume and ability -- to march through our streets and project the message of the power of white supremacy at the citizens of our city. The photo below was posted by a member of that white supremacist delegation prior to that group arriving at Charlottesville. Note the hand signals they showed before they headed out into deliberate battle. Don't forget that they pre-planned to defeat the security cordon set up by the police so they could fight with counter-protesters. The people you see the in the image planned ahead of time to break police lines and beat people who intended to peacefully let the police do their jobs of protecting people.

That it backfired in a publicity disaster is more about how people like you and I saw what they did and disagreed with them.

Gavin McInnes, leader of Proud Boys claims that: "Fighting solves everything". I'll post a follow up post that contains his message of how wonderful violence is.

I think a huge message would be to kick Trump to the curb next time around but then he would become a martyr for the fringe right.

Gavin McInnes provides the muscle for white supremacists at their rallies. Just like the Sturmabteilung or brown shirts did at Hitler's rallies.

"Fighting solves everything?" Really?

Maybe the black hats are preferred because the wearers are less likely to stand out in a crowd? These guys certainly do prepare and think it through before going into battle. And they wonder why we don't want them parading down our streets carrying torches and shouting "you won't replace us" in front of little kids. Imagine that.

Propaganda is a powerful weapon and effective unless it is immediately countered with a good factual counter argument.

The following is a good analysis of how those virgins in mommy's basement become part of your movement.
