And I did not say I was talking about any specific soil, I said those are the two ways a toxicity can occur. *EDIT* You do not need to know the base level saturations of a medium to define the two physically possible ways a toxicity can occur in any medium, form, or fashion of growing. Which is....Too much of it being applied, or improper nutrient levels with other nutrients. Exactly what other ways can there be too much N, or for that matter, any nutrient? Aside from decomposing organics which, again, falls under the 'applied' nutrient category.
