BC Organic Outdoor Grow Hash Plant breeding with Blue Cheese x Northern Lights Male

Started with 25 seeds germinated in shot glasses with water and all 25 sprouted. Planted directly in ground May 13 2018 with 1yr old composted manure and 5yr old composted wood chips (practically dirt) that had natural worm population. Beds in greenhouse were 5inches deep with above posted soil mixture with natural clay soil underneath. Strains in grow where: BC x NL, Chemo, Crown Royal, Hash Plant, Gorilla Glue.

Grew in greenhouse for 4weeks veg and only 4 made it. I wanted the strong to survive so I didn't protect them as I wanted nature to pick the best. The 4 that made it survived the snails and spidermites. 2 hashplant females, 1 crown royal female and 1 BC x NL male.

No store bought nutrients where used in this grow.

I dug 3ft round and 3ft deep holes in the mineral rich clay soil when I transplanted the 2ft high girls and male. I filled the holes with the same horse manure wood chip compost I used in greenhouse veg. Transplanted all 4 plants with success. In first week outdoors had a major wind storm and lost the crown royal female. None of the plants were staked as I wanted the strongest to survive whatever nature put to them.

Sept 11 first week to 2nd week flower by my guess.

Haven't added anything to soil and all natural grow.

Thinking of top dressing with worm casings.

Any thoughts on anything I can add that is natural for flower growth would be appreciated.

Liquid Epsom Salts added to the soil as a trichome booster. It's the sulfur in EP. I stop the 1-tsp per gal. after 5th wk of flower. If you use a Dramm wand and a Siphonjet venturi system feeding from a one-gallon milk-jug, then it's 5.333 TBL of EP /per gal, and always water with the Dramm wand valve wide-open. Even if you open and close the vale to top-off a plant, re-open the valve completely or the feed ratio will be affected.

Looks like first frost is moved from beginning of Oct to mid Oct.

No. Read the side of the EP carton/bag. They recommend EP for plants. You'll see salt-ring residue, but the plants and organism in the ground do not suffer or flee from the area. Feed them now at a rate of (1) tsp per gallon or 5.333 tsp of the stuff if you're using a gallon milk jug of concentrate, and a Dramm wand and Dramm Siphonjet. The only yellowing you'll see on leaves, like I am seeing now, is when the plants are ripening and sucking all the nitrogen they can get from the leaves. I'll put a stop to that this morning with a Jack's Veg 20-20-20 feeding ONE TIME ONLY, to green 'em up.
That's some tree trunk you got growing there 3-N. Someday some Californian is going to create a route in Humboldt County and collect all of the "tree" trunks from growers, then mill them and polyurathane-glue them into a plank, and shape surfboards from them. Light and strong. "Wood" has more down-the-wave-face trajectory than polyurathane foam.

Nice bud hydro-glide! What strain are you growing? I will give the girls some EP today when I top dress the soil and water it in.

That would be sweet if someone made a surf board out of some thick trunks.

Thnx! These three are Super Silver Haze N-cut x Mauritius x Ethiopian, from a strain developed by an east county care-giver. I have three more from seeds he gave me, a different strain of lime-green sativa that's an 80 or 90 day'er, seems like. It's getting a shot of 20-20-20 too.
About the EP, look at your bud trichome coverage now w/ a 60x loupe, and then again two days after your first app. of EP. You should see an abundance of new or larger trichs. Add EP with every feeding from now until the end of the 5th week, then stop. Reason being, the care-giver from the tribal nation said, that after 5 weeks, the new trichomes won't have time to fully ripen and you'll go to harvest with non-ripened trichs that will "water-down" bubble, and might even make your harvested buds produce the jitters.

Now we've had a very cool September with quite a bit of rain. I have all my plants covered so at least they will stay dry but we need some more warm weather to get us through October.

My plants are Juicy Fruit, BC Big Bud and a couple Bubblegum. The plants in the greenhouse are 12' tall or so. Keeping my fingers crossed we get some sun next week but it's going to be rainy for the next 4 days or so.

Beautiful setup! We have had a couple of great days of sun here and the garden is responding nicely. October looks like it will be good and I am confident I will be able to harvest when the plants are done and not any earlier. I will build a semi permanent shelter for the couple days of frost in the forecast but I'm hoping that I won't have to.
