Took down my first plant today. Stripped large leaves by hand, basically anything with a stem I could grab got removed...I'm sure I missed a few, always do.

I bet it feels good having that in the barn. I had to chop the rest of two more today due to bud rot. Clear {Oregon's Best Bag Seed}, and one of the Sour Moon Wrecks. Should have taken all the Clear last week. Most of what was left had to be tossed.

It does. I'm getting to the point this year where I'm ready to be done. Thankfully I'm not being pressed by rot/weather, I can let them mature to my liking. I feel for you guys that spend all this time growing plants only to watch them melt down in front of you.

It's no fun. I not going to lie, I have had serious thoughts about giving up growing. At least in the summertime. If the ones I started in August and set out in September finish as well as they are doing now, I may just lay on the river all summer next year.

I hear ya. I don't need to grow pounds per plant, this is all for family and personal, so I'm thinking about changing how I do things. Haven't fleshed that out yet, but doing a fall grow only is one thought I've had, maybe figure out some light supplementation to prolong veg. We'll see...

I had my first "auto ignition" the other day . . . Dam near burned my beard! Be careful with the butane . . . A 3'x3' ball of flame is a bitch
Thanks for the warning. I won't be using butane, I know first hand how dangerous that shit can be. I'll stick to just filling my cigar lighter with it.

I'm actually going to be running pentane, and have built my own recovery unit (two jars tied together with tubing). Boiling point is much higher than butane, so I don't have to worry about it evaporating off at room temp. Gonna be interesting.
