Oh wow Steve, don't make me jealous!!!! Hahahaha no but those are some awesome looking plants! Those buds are going to need support by the time you harvest, if you have trouble with that they sell these 'yoyo' things on amazon, and would be perfect for SCROG. Anyways, seems like you've got a good system going, keep it up!

Wow thank you for the kind words. That puts my mind at ease that there is nothing wrong. I'm getting a little paranoid that there might be something wrong since it's my first grow and I'm so close to harvest.
Thank you for the advice on those yo yos. I didn't know about those and I was having trouble figuring out how I was going to support them! I'm ordering those yo yos now they are going to be a lifesaver!

No problem buddy, Ahhh man i feel for you there, So does it lean more towards a cbd strain? I'm also taking opiates I'm prescribed codeine phosphate off my gp 15mg i get 100 every 2 months for a detached retina the headaches I get behind my eye are excruciating, My left eye doesn't move up or down it stays straight it does move side to side though lol
It's not so much a cbd strain but grand daddy purple is known as one of the best pain relieving strains there is. The breeder is Ken Estes who is disabled himself and bred it for his pain. I cant even find it in any of the dispensaries in California anymore since it's not a newer strain , it's from 2003. That's why I'm growing it, plus it has huge euphoric effects which I like and it tastes like grapes!
I'm sorry to hear about your eyes it's never fun being in pain, maybe you can find some strains to help with it and grow them.
Ya I have spinal nerve damage in my cervical spine. I had surgery on it back in 2009 but that only made it worse so they prescribe me oxycontin 80s which I hate taking. I'm going to lower my dose though once my gdp is done since I know it will help a lot with the nerve pain and muscle spasms.

Ahh I see I've heard a lot about the purple strains most off it good to, There is a certain strain that is good for growing outdoor here in the U.K i can't remember the name off it, I've just googled GPD and the guy you said who bred it for his pain I've seen a few reviews on it, People think it's brilliant! Haha everybody loves that little euphoric effect off what they smoke I'm currently smoking a fat one off amnesia haze and feel all energetic off it so I'm sat here listening to the chilli peppers lol.

Yeah I have some plants outdoors too. I have killer master kush plants that will be ready in about 2 weeks and then some smaller girl scout cookies extreme that have a out 5 weeks. Only problem is stupid catipillers got into my master kush plants, it makes me soo mad I pick them off every day and see their mouths chewing on gooey resin high as a kite. So some of it has mold from them, I would spray them but it's too late to be spraying my buds so close to harvest. Next time I do outdoors I'm doing it in a greenhouse unfortunatley I have to wait until next spring since the season is almost over.
I've had valium but I don't like it they can be very addicting plus you really cant mix opiates with benzos which valium is.they give me somas for my muscle spasms and they seem to work pretty well. Yeah oxys are very strong they use to prescribe me more but with all the problems with opiates in the news they are cutting people back.
Yeah anyone can buy cannabis as long as your over 21 you can buy up to an ounce a day if you want and yes people from overseas can buy just like californians. They are even starting tour guides for people visiting. Anyone over 21can grow legally up to 6 plants but I have a license to grow up to 99 plants or 1000 sq feet of canopy. They even have pot resturants where everything on the menu has pot in it, it's crazy how large of menus they have I mean everything from hamburgers, fries, ice cream, steak with cream sauces that have cannabis in it garnished with marijuana leaves and high end gourmet restaurants, etc.
There are even hotels that sell pot and lounges to smoke pot there, free breakfast with everything pot, it's getting crazy lol.
I wouldnt worry about it being illegal in the UK pretty soon it will be legal everywhere that's just the way it's going especially with all the research and benefits they're finding out about it. Dispensaries are starting to franchise to places out of state and country where it's legal. It's a booming market to say the least. Believe me there are people working very hard to make it legal in Europe and the world it wont be long. I just worry about big business taking over and monopolizing it like phillip Morris did with cigarettes.
I will definitely take pics and show you my final product after its dried and I hope you do the same with your girls! Hey this is our first grow, its important! Lol it's like our cherry is being popped we wont be green anymore after this no pun intended lol. I don't know about you but I learned a lot from my first grow and things not to do. It was a lot of fun though and I really enjoyed growing it, it's someone that I will continue to do for sure!
Yeah I researched a LOT probably spent more time on it than I should of lol but it seems to have paid off. I planned it out for months before I started, I even drew diagrams of how I wanted my grow room to be setup. Next time I'm doing a much bigger grow and I'm growing 3 different strains instead of one but I think starting out with one strain indoors for my first grow was a smart decision less complications you know. The biggest pain in the ass is all the watering with the soil especially my big plants outdoors. Some of them are in 20 gallon pots so they need lots of water everyday.
I think for my 3rd grow indoors I will do hydroponics but my next grow will be soil again just to get some more experience under my belt.
Here are some of my outdoor master kush plants they will be ready in a few weeks!

So how did it end up guys???
I'm still working on mine, they have about 2 weeks left.They just started their 7th week yesterday and they are doing awesome so far and are starting to really swell up. They got so heavy I had to attach yo yos for support. I'll post pics when they are done.

Yeah the chilli peppers are unbelievable I seen them at reading around 10year ago here in the uk, Yes that's a brilliant song!! Wet sand and Hey Oh are 2 off my favourites by them along with all the others like Cant Stop , The Zepher Song they are brilliant man.
Ive brought my girls in the the outside and and put them inside with my other 4 so now I have 6 big plants crammed under a 600hps lights Ohh yeah and a 12/12 from seed this I shot in there just for shits and giggles I can already see the one big cola forming on it already.

Mann that's not even allowed in Amsterdam you can only buy 5 grams, The state's has always been on my places to go list and it's even better now that I know that anyone from overseas can buy weed in California, Mann free pot with a breakfast in a hotel would be a dream to me lol!! That's insane how relaxed in California it is.
I think it will be a very long time before us in the U.K legalise it, Most places in Europe people can still smoke cigarettes in bars and what not, Where we have banned smoking in most public places and in bars and clubs since 2007, So I can't see the uk having cannabis clubs like the Spanish do or coffee shops like the Dutch do either, Plus There are a lot off dealers making ALOT off money over here from growing it and dealing it I'm talking MILLIONS, Years ago it was all imported from overseas where as now gangs have 15-20 houses full off it at a time some even have big factories on industrial estates even old World War 2 bunkers have been busted full off underground , So if it did become legal the chances are there would be uproar with all the gangs and whatever losing money plus all off our politicians are greedy the only way if it would be made legal is if the country is in massive debt and our economy is failing massively and we need the tax and revenue off it.
I also searched a lot before growing to but I've still managed to make a few mistakes I'm just glad I chose a strain that is fairly forgiving when it comes to mistakes lol I even bought a cannabis beginners handbook by Philippe Adams I think he's called off Amazon brilliant book as well I've read the full thing lol
I take vallium regularly they prescribe me 14 5mg tablets every month mainly for anxiety/panic attacks 's sometimes I have to go for days without smoking because I feel really panicky, Probably because I smoked everyday for nearly 15 year lol So now I taken it easy a bit and get the missus to bake edibales, Plus she's a good cook so it goes hand in hand, Its good that you are growing your own medicine and not taking opiates for your pain, In the U.K we have strict laws over opiates you literally have to be on your deathbed to get a script for morphine/oxys/hydrocodone.
Them plants look lovely man you have done a good job with them outside an does your summer end then in California? We only have around a month's sun if where lucky it is starting to get really cold here now.
Yeah buddy keep me updated on your final harvest and ill show you're when it's done I was going to take mine down the 30th September it I don't think they'll be done by then so I think ill let them go another week they'll be 8 weeks flower on the 30th then 9 weeks the week after, Northern lights is a 8-9 weeks strain or so say the breeders who I got the seeds off says, But I hear you mainly go by the trichomes.

Hey be really careful with bringing your outside plants in to your indoor ones, your supposed to never do that because you can introduce bugs into your grow from outside. Anyway just be careful and if you do get an infestation spray them with a neem oil solution but just the leaves not your buds!
Our summer in California lasts from June 21 to Sept 22 so ya our summer just ended but it still feels like summer here. It's around 75-80 degrees and pretty sunny out still.
Ya I might wait an extra week on my plants too, I'll have to see how they are coming along at the 8 week mark, I like more of a couch lock effect than an uplifting feeling so it may be an extra week.
That's crazy hearing about the black market and gangs selling weed, it sounds like the dark ages compared to how it is in the states now lol. Border smuggling is now almost purely crystal meth, heroin, and pills. Cartels lost a LOT of money even when it was just medical because they couldn't compete with the high quality of medical marijuana.
Anyway I hope all is well with you and your wife but I know how it is sometimes I use to be married, I'm divorced now though lol.

Hey steve, Yeah I will be carefully buddy what I done I brought the plants from outside in and left them in the conservatory for 2 full days, Also I sprayed them with water mixed with a few drops off garlic I read that this can reduce the infestation off pests in my grow room and especially on my plants that I brought in from the outside, Reason why I brought them in was because I didn't want to Just let them go to waste they are lovely looking plants very nice and green they are white rhinos and you can already see all the frost forming on the buds but it is getting cold here in the uk and I fear that the dreaded frost will come by in a few weeks it normally does that time off year and they are around 2-3 weeks into flower so there's no way they would off finished flowering lol I think ill put some autos outside next year instead off photo's.
It will be week 8 for me on Sunday 10 week's since I flipped to 12/12 but I've heard you don't count the first 2 weeks, I've got a calender in my grow room so I know how long I vegged for and everything lol
I bet it's really hot over there in California in your summers though, I'd say for every week off straight sun we get in the U.K we get 2 weeks off straight rain afterwords lol Sometimes we get over 30 degrees, One day this year it's was 36 degrees I think the highest I've seen in a good 10 year I'd say.
I'd say we are defiantly in the dark ages over here, In the 90's I think it was something like 70-80% was imported from overseas, Now with the emergence off all the gangs doing it I think it's around 80% now that is actually grown here. It's barmy how it's changed, Plus when i first started smoking it was a "luxury" to have weed to smoke everyone was smoking "hash" imported from Morocco or some other country, When burning it you used to find bits off celafane where it had been wrapped in lol
Yeah I've watched that series "Drugs Inc" a don't know whether you have seen it? About the border smuggling in the states and the cartels have it well controlled with all class A drugs they're smuggling in with the black tar heroin from the Mexicans and what not.

Hey Smithy, how are you doing? Hope all is well. How are your plants doing? You should of harvested now shouldnt you of? Let me know how it went I'm curious how it turned out and how much you harvested.
I'm in my 10th week, I could of harvested at 8 full weeks but I want a heavier body high so I'm waiting for mostly milky trichomes with a little bit of amber. I'm literally about a couple days away from harvesting they are almost there. My strain is supposed to be an 8 week strain but I think that is for a clear heady cerebral high it says the max is 11 weeks and like I said I want a heavy body high for pain. Anyway they are looking really good and frosty and smells like sweet grapes when I enter the room in the morning, I cant wait to harvest soon. I'm going to do an slow and low dry probably 10-14 days recommended by ed Rosenthal since that gives a smoother smoke and have the lights off for 48 hours before harvest since that gives optimal terpenes and flavor. Then I will cure them in mason jars for 2-3 weeks but I'll give them a smoke just to try it out after they are done drying.
