The testimony

Been watching it all. Its disgraceful.

The prosecutor the GOP hired is an idiot. The GOP has made a horrible mistake going this way.

They are now guaranteed to lose the house, and I'm willing to bet they'll lose the Senate as well.

Prosecutors questions:

Where'd you get the lawyers?
Who advised you on which lawyers to hire?
How much are you paying the lawyers?
Who is helping you pay for the lawyers?

*her lawyer: Let me put this to bed for you: we are doing this pro bono. We have no expectation of being paid.

It's just awful...and the idiot prosecutor just keeps on asking the same shit.

I stopped expecting the republicons to do the decent thing a long time ago but I thought they’d actually want to not damage themselves like this
It's worse than you think. Even Lindsay Graham looked upset. I thought Flake was going to cry. At one point while their own prosecutor was grilling Dr. Ford you could see Flake shaking his head.

They've lost Flake. He's a no vote.

Fox News host: "This is a disaster for the Republicans"
From CNN's Brian Stelter

The White House says President Donald Trump is watching Christine Blasey Ford's testimony. If he is watching on his favorite network, Fox News, he may not like what he's hearing.

Rather than defending Brett Kavanaugh at all costs, like the network's primetime hosts have been doing, Fox's daytime journalists and commentators highlighted Ford's credibility and humanity on display at Thursday's hearing.

"I think Dr. Ford is exceptionally credible," Fox's top legal analyst, Judge Andrew Napolitano, said.

"A lot of folks" are "viewing her as a very credible witness," Supreme Court correspondent and 11 p.m. anchor Shannon Bream said. After the first break at Thursday's hearing, "Fox News Sunday" moderator Chris Wallace said "this is a disaster for the Republicans."

Even Fox knows it was awful. You should have seen the end image for when she was done. I'm sure it will be all over the internet in about an hour, but if a picture is worth a thousand words, it'll tell the story of the complete catastrophe the GOP created by getting that butch assed prosecutor to do all their talking for them.

He's appealing to pity. I sat through some of it. The dude is tossing chaff to distract and working an emotional appeal.

"My calendar says if the party was on a weekend, I was busy and couldn't be there. I presume everybody had jobs during the week so the party couldn't have happened during the week. Oh and how did she get there? She wasn't old enough to drive. I don't live near there either." Wow, very convincing, that.

Jeez, no wonder the right whingers who post here are inept at debate if this is the best the GOP has to model their reasoning from.

One might be able to believe Kavanaugh if he didn't dodge the FBI question 10 times.

That right there is the clincher.

The rest of it, I could see anybody believing either side.

But when one side is screaming for a full investigation by law enforcement and the other is doing everything they can to avoid it, that removes any and all doubt on who is telling the truth.
