The testimony

Well, Trump ordered the FBI to investigate...then he limited the scope and only gave them a week.

It may be limited but if they find any evidence on any sexual assault they can continue without any interference from the President until they have finished what, where and when.

It really was the only decent thing to do. If kava. was any form of decent he would of withdrawn his nomination and went back to his fed court position.

He has none.

He can't. One thing Kavanaugh was absolutely right about was that his life is over.

Unless the FBI finds hard evidence that Dr. Ford lied and made this up, Kavanaugh will never teach or hold any other position ever again. His reputation is completely ruined.

It's all or nothing for Kavanaugh. He doesn't get approved, his professional life is over.

The teacher in me can't help it, Buck:

There's no such thing as felony perjury per se. All perjury is punishable by up to 5 years in prison, so it's a felony by default.

That's why you heard them in the hearing as saying "under penalty of felony" or "under penalty of perjury", but never both.

To say "felony perjury" would suggest that there is a misdemeanor perjury, which isn't true and if used could result in flaws with the trial or hearing and be grounds for appeal.

I don't think his life is over. He has not exhibited any dishonorable behavior in his adult life, quite the opposite. Barring some corroboration of Fords accusations, it will go down as high school shit. I believe Dr. ford experienced some type of trauma, but thank god it wasn't rape. The greater good for our society is to protect the concept of innocent until proven guilty on criminal charges. That much I am certain of.

There are no criminal charges and the court of public opinion does not need that
It is a job interview with the American people and the majority do not approve of this candidate
I don't care what dear leader wants

There could be criminal charges if a complaint is filed. Since I found testimony of both to be credible, it comes down to a need for corroboration on my opinion. Perhaps the FBI investigation will corroborate Dr. Ford.

Great lessons for my teenage daughter in all of this about risky behavior and the need to write stuff down in complete detail if you feel unable to speak up about it. This would be an easy decision if Ford made detail notes at the time.

so sick of this impossibly two faced bullshit

You liked someone’s comment last night when they said the rape was all made up fiction you dumb fucking asshole
In his defense, I found Kavanaugh to be believable as well...right up until he dodged the FBI investigation question 10 times and removed all doubt that he's hiding something.

Wow just STFU.
Your teenage daughter might have been already violated with the way you think

Kavanaugh perjured himself so many times before that crying, yelling tantrum that he could never be believable. He lied about everything, even little things like what boofing means

Only a rapey little scumbag would find him credible with so many demonstrable lies under oath

Yup and then lying about never drinking enough he forgot what happened was a huge lie "I like beer"
And then saying that the Devils triangle was a quarters game , and then saying boofed was a "fart"
and I am sure they are just little white lies ...But the question is why?
