Purple Buds?

i live in a colder climate are night temps have been dropping into the 40's and i read that the cold nights can turn nugs purple i was curious on what my chances of some oof them turning purple are?

i posted a message earlier today about one of my plants turning purplish.. and everyone said its mainly from the recent cold weather i am experiencing. and the genetics of the strain as well. But i was lucky enough to get something like that out of bagseed.

here is a pic i took today of the purplish looking plant. it just started doing this yesterday, i can't wait to see what its going to look like when i harvest!

my plants are outside and its been 40-50 all last week I took um in when it was below 40 and they survived but no purple, green as ever lol and sparkly.

Yes they will probably turn purple don't be afraid of cold temperatures they can handle a mild frost unlike many other plants

some old hippie dude told me that same thing, he grows outdoors and im pretty sure he has been for a very long time, so there could be something to it...

Apparently stressing a plant right before harvest can increase resin production, I think this is what you guys are talking about. A lot of outdoor growers wait until after the first frost to pull em. I am confused as to why everyone pops a boner when they see the color purple though. Like you've heard, its mostly due to colder climates near the end of the growing season and this would in no way effect the quality of the end product. Yes there are some amazing purple strains, but just because your plant is turning purple doesn't mean you have one of them, its just cold. The plant will taste the same as if it were green, unless you have accidentally found some purple kush, purple urkel, or mendocino purps genetics, which I doubt.

very true but it does have some serious bag appeal. here in ireland you could nearly double the price for some purple bud. supply and demand.
recession is in full swing.

I NEVER buy based off of looks alone, because we all know with cannabis those can be misleading.

Smell is a huge factor, a good well cured nugget doesn't need to be pinched, molested and torn apart to smell the true aroma.

Yes, smell is very important. I always say if a dealer is taking the time to cure his herb, he actually cares about its quality. Show me you care, and I show you the money! Plus most dealers don't even know what curing is, so it means they know what they're doing too. Oh and don't get me wrong, I've had dealers charge me more because his buds had some purple on em. Try telling a dealer it just the cold weather...

Just throwing this out there... The best weed in the world... Alaskans Thunderfuck, It sadly left this world around the 1980's but it was one of the worlds most prized smokes because of the way it was grown.

It was grown during summer with had almost 24hours of light, and the frost had something to do with the potency. But the REAL reason it was so prized was because it could yeild up to 2 to 3 POUNDS!!! this was only outdoors of course...

Trust me... I didnt believe it at first either haha... go read about it PLEASE!!!
