I would run 12 cobs over a 4x4,You can run less and increase the driver amperage but you wont get the efficiency of running more cobs at less wattage for a larger more even footprint.48”x48” max foot print .
12 Vero29 D series 3000K cobs,12 Pin Heatsinks and 12 Lidel vero29 lens holders. These will hold the cobs to the heatsinks and also they kind of work like a mini reflector. The cobs emit light at 120 degrees so with 12 cobs you will have lots of nice overlap.
2 Meanwell 320H 1400B drivers,You will wire 6 cobs to each driver,
Get 12 of the molex connectors for the veros,All you do is wire red to black red to black.you will end up with 1 red and 1 black on each end of 6 cobs you wired together.just connect the red wire to the driver and the black wire to the driver where it says output.
I would run 3 rows of 4 cobs over the 4x4.Use aluminum angle and cut it at 38 inches.Place the heatsinks on the rail and space them out so they are even.I always run my first outside cobs about 6 inches in from the outside of the footprint and than put the others in the middle evenly.thats why i say cut the rails at 38 inches and put the first 2 heatsinks on the outsides.
I get everything i need from rapid led. They ship fast and never no bullshit.
