Which deficiency

No idea which strain this is as i discovered the seed bags were marked wrong. Was marked indica but clearly its a sativa lol either chocolope or amnesia haze. Light 22" away 3 weeks in veg. Started loo mh ing funny 2 days ago so i diagnosed it as a mag deficiency but not positive because its going from top to bottom very slowly. 1000w led (180w) only started happening after switching to full spectrum from just the veg switch. Fox farm macro trio nutes (big bloom grow big) and started adding cal mag plus today. Thanks in advance!

What's your medium? I don't really see much discoloration, just droopiness. Either way, you should get a better diagnosis before trying to treat it. Feeding more nutes could cause some actual issues.

Fox farm ocean forest. Major color discoloration seen in the photo. All things pointed to magnesium so thats what im going with. Most people use cal mag from the get go so im not really going over board

FFOF should have enough nutrients within the mix. You shouldn't need to feed her the additional TRIO until later on. Maybe i'm wrong about this but i'm sure someone else will stop by later. Good Luck!

@hotrodharley is right. Don’t start adding shit, you will probably make it worse. Water, let dry, repeat. Too young to have deficiencies in FFOF, it is fine. If anything you might be overwatering a touch.
Do you have a fan in the area circulating the air? My guess is slight overwatering and poor air circulation.

Most people? Do you know most people? Where are you getting that little nugget? I never use calmag supplements in soil. Ever. Your tap probably has plenty of calcium, and the soil also has everything you need. Your plant is fine, take a breath and simply water the fucker, don’t feed it anything for a week or two and see if she improves.

Overuse of calcium is a major source of nutrient lockout. A calcium deficiency in soil using tapwater would be rare.

Also, it too young to know if it is going to express sativa or indica characteristics. Everythin is a hybrid anyway, there are very few to zero real indicas or sativas out there, they are all hybrids, but they do express varations on what we think of as indica or sativa characteristics that doesn’t necessarily indicate provenance.

Seems like you think you know more than you do, to me. Take a breath and allow more information in, you haven’t been at this long enough to have strong opinions about it yet.

Never heard of it, in fact. Cal nor Mag. Especially wih such a young plant.

If you read the ingredient listing on bag , you will find it LOADED , sometimes a bit hot for some strains .... but will carry your plant without issue all by itself .

But FFOF should always be modded with MORE perlite to aerate / drain better.
Other than that , just tap . Ph your water to 6.5 ( FFOF is already ph buffered to 6.3 )

Drop your light to at least 18”

You can grow in FFOF without amending it with perlite, but the growth rate gets slowed way down, especially early on. Shit, I would just as soon Black Gold Organic plus perlite than FFOF, but I like the slightly hotter FFOF recipe, personally.

pH is optional if your tapwater is 7.4 or below, and if your nutrient solution is anywhere from there down to 6.5 but it is safest to run at 6.5-7.0, probably. Shucks, I run my hydro at higher pH than that, but I would not recommend it unless you really know what you are doing.

The GOOD THING about FFOF is the ability to “ cut “ it with other mixes ( say happy frog or light warrior ) and really get the performance out of it.

I sometimes load only the bottom third with FFOF and top with a light peat mix or roots organic.

But yeah some young plants have to acclimate then it’s off to the races.

Lol.

I agree with that, that’s the right way to use it. I have successfully cloned plants directly in it, also, jammed the cutting in there and waited about 2 weeks.

Guess i got some explaining to do. FFOF says use nutes right through but i knew from reading on here to let it go for a month or two before adding more nutes. Through all my reading i learned adding calmag in a half dose is good IF you are using RO water which i am. I didnt want to over due adding anything so i only was doing half doses after my plants had been in the soil for a month and one week then i was getting some yellowing along the edge of some leaves so i did two weeks one feeding per week of 1/4 strength nutes. Yellowing went away and got no nutrient burn but one plant got a little dark and started clawing so i flushed her and shes returning to normal and once shes dried i will get her back on 1/4 strength feedings. The other plant though got pretty yellow up top right after switching to full spectrum which got me all confused bringing me 4th o ask on here.

Ah, that’s very helpful, thanks!

If you got yellowing after switching lights I think it was one of two things, if growth was fast at first then they yellowed then you ran a little low on nitrogen, which given your description seems unlikely. You may have had some light burn, which can cause yellowing and slow growth, also sometimes a lot more purple will show up in places on stems then leaves as it gets worse.

Ima let it dry up a bit and see which direction i wanna go. After adding a little cal mag the plant looks a little better so ima dose with just that and see where it goes
