First Grow how does it look

see this is my delema or however you spell it i keep switching cycles i just want to know if is going to affect my male female ratio i hve a total of 4 plants

whats to disagree with? you can go to 12/12 anytime but longer veg gets you larger yield. how is this wrong?

What's to disagree with ? Where do you want me to start ?????

You want to put a immature plant into flowering mode ? Give me one reason why you would want to ? There is no reason at all except to screw up your grow.

The plant is IMMATURE, it can't be a boy or a girl, but you want to force it to try and be one or the other when it can't. So it just spends it's energy trying to be something it cannot, when instead it could using it's energy to grow like it is supposed to. So the plant grows deformed and sometimes dies.

All I keep seeing for a reason is that all that will happen is a lower yield, so you are giving people advice to spend all their time growing to get a lower yield, that is just plain irresponsible.

If your main concern is male/female ratios then you should buy female seeds.

You should not keep switching light cycles, you should decide if you want crappy looking, low yielding plants, then stick to 12/12, if you want the plant to grow to it's potential keep it 24/7.

Only GOD knows whether your plants will be male or female.

I feel stress contributes to it, but no one really knows.

there is nothing wrong with my statement you can start a seed a 12/12 and it will flower but a longer veg will give you more yield. everything i said here is true. its not the most cost effective but will work.

i have put bagseed right to 12/12 late in the season just to see what i get for plants and see what phenos are there. im not saying do it but there is nothing false in my statement

It is all bad advice, will cause nothing but extra problems, has zero benefits, and has the guy who started this thread confused on what to do. All you care about is if your statement is true, not whether it could ruin someone's whole grow or not. I don't even know what your motivation could be to give such poor advice. Would want you want someone to give you shit for advice when you have problems on what to do ?

i didnt give him any bad advice. i said to veg for more yield if you cant see that point then im not going to bother with you anymore. i see on here that you like to argue with people so now ive just joined the club.

You are funny, you give bad advice and I'm the one with the problem.

If you don't understand trying to flower a plant that isn't mature yet doesn't work I don't know what to tell you ? Can an immature 10 year old boy get a woman pregnant ? Hell no, he isn't mature yet.

So all you do is screw up the plant by trying to make it do something it isn't ready for and are proud because you give such advice.

Why don't you grow a plant and come back and give some advice when you know something about it.

smoke did say when he first replied to my thread it still was a little small he didnt say yes flower or anything he stated his opinion that it was small but he said i could if i wanted to which is the choice i make and im choosing not to go to twelve im just gonna wait it out

Well, I grew 7 females from 8 seeds and strictly adhered to all the conditions thought to produce females in higher percentages i.e. keeping the grow room cool and it's water cool. Basically, it's really easy to grow weed. People tend to either A. Get lazy and don't research so plants die B. Get lazy and don't care for the plants so they die C. Over tend the plants and they die. Or instead of death low yeild or lots of males. I'm on my first series of grows and my plants are looking awesome, just look. I did the research and ask the people who have great pics what I should do and guess what? My plants are beauties using various methods like Ebb and flo and DWC

thank you for understanding what i said. maybe i should have been a little more clear and added more details in my post but i just kept it short and sweet.

my apoligies to la9. i have read alot of good posts from you and a few where you have started shit that was uncalled for. i do take this very serious due to im obsest with it. im the type of person that if your going to due something be the best at anything you due and the passion i have for this cant be measured.
i know la9 knows what hes talking about cause i do read his posts. i read most everybodys post and try and learn.

i havnt grown in 14 years, and had a hard time this year in a new set up, different type lights and everything. but im learning and maybe ill post a grow thread but have been scared to post pics.
