Yeah, it's a slow and expensive process. Heck, we're still paying for the cleanup of mines that were closed 30 years ago. I read that it's cost 200 million so far to taxpayers to clean up one particular mine in northern Canada, and they've got many years of work still ahead.

So, yeah, about that oil...

Alberta does not support anyone lmfao! Alberta pays a portion of their revenue to Ottawa as does every other province. Ontario and some others get more back then they put in, while Alberta and BC and the 'have' provinces get less. Maybe you missed the "bust' episodes of Alberta's economic history, but I remember them well. There were a number of years where Alberta was a 'have-not' province and was a recipient of equalization payments. Stop listening to Nutley - she's nuts.
