10/14 - Day 49

3pm - plants started the transition to flower cycle this morning, with a change to 12/12 and R/W/B spectrum change to 64/99/99 (recommended by CLW) for 10-14 days. Gave the plants a final pruning, with only minor touch ups from now until the end. Same watering/nutes routine as the past week. Watching SK like a hawk for sex determination...actually might be seeing some female signs already, but still a bit early for me to know for sure...

10/16 - Day 51

7am - plants still looking groovy. Temp is consistently ideal, but RH is getting way too high in the tent now (up to 90% on occasion). Going to get a dehumidifier into the tent shortly.

Look at the stalks on those monsters!!! They don't seem to mind 90% humidity. I'm going to need you to start teaching me what you are doing.

Seriously though, you are smart to get a dehumidifier. Once buds start to form, you'll want that dehumidifier running. I'm currently fighting RH between 25-30. Feel free to pass some of that my way, haha.

Fortunately, the tent temp has been 68-76 the past few weeks consistently, so at least it isn’t hot plus humid. Unfortunately, botrytis is rampant outdoors around here, so I’d be happier to have to fight lower RH like you are. I don’t want to push my luck too long, so hopefully the dehumidifier will be in there soon.

All plants already needed another pruning for light and air flow. Increased watering to 2.5L each, still every other day, with same nutrients ratios. Raised light about 5”.

Plants are still growing like champs! Getting crowded for sure, though. Still watering 2.5L each, but with flowering nutes routine now, at 50% recommended ratios - BioThrive Bloom, CaMg+, Bio Root, and Bio Bud. Raised light about 18”.

Thanks for the good vibes! I’m really digging the results with LED and soil so far, especially considering how little effort setting up and growing has been.

As always, those girls are looking sexy. I'm just curious with the 7 gallon pots, how much water does it take to actually achieve runoff? I know your giving 2.5L every 48 hours, but do you get any runoff?

I’ve found it takes over 3L to get any runoff in these 7 gallons. I’m not watering to runoff yet, because it was such a large jump up in soil amount from the last container size, and I want to make sure the soil isn’t staying wet long since I’ve got consistently high RH. The soil is definitely very dry when I water, but I don’t think the roots have had enough time yet to make it down to the bottom of the pots to dry out the soil there if I really soaked through. I’m gradually increasing the amount each week, and will probably be watering to runoff by end of next week.

RH 24hrs: 60 - 90

Still watering 2.5L each, at 75% recommended ratios now - BioThrive Bloom, CaMg+, Bio Root, and Bio Bud. Changed LED to 99/99/60 R/W/B (recommended flower spectrum by CLW). Also got a mini dehumidifier that I put in this morning, so hopefully RH will be under control soon.

And great news...Sour Kosher is indeed female!!!

Temp 24hrs: 58 - 72
RH 24hrs: 55 - 75

Watering 3L each now, at 75% recommended ratios - BioThrive Bloom, CaMg+, Bio Root, and Bio Bud. Still not quite enough for runoff, but I can feel the water making it to the bottom of the pots by feeling their sides.

Tent aroma is quite impressive now, with a mix of fruit, earth, sandalwood, and sage. Cannalope Haze seems the strongest, with Kushberry close behind. Sour Kosher isn’t nearly as strong smelling yet, but has a surprisingly smooth light sage aroma. Really does smell fantastic in there...

Watering 3L again, GO nutes at 100% recommended ratios for Week 6 - BioThrive Bloom, CaMg+, and Bio Bud. Light is raised as high as it can go, so hopefully CH is done stretching. Got buds blooming all over the place now...
