High humidity but good air circulation

So i am 8 weeks into flower on my first grow, about a week from harvest.. The area i live in has been rainy and humid the past few days and will be for the next week. My problem is at night when the lights are off my humidity will rise to 60-68% and im worried about PM. When lights are on though it will stay around 40-50%. My airflow is good and plenty of air circulation. I already have a dehumidifier in there but for some reason it doesnt want to pull any moisture at night (I read this could have something to do with the lights evaporating moisture off the plants and of course they cant do that when they are off). does anybody know if i still have risk of PM with good airflow just high humidity. Ive even put a few silica packs next to the bigger densest buds. This problems making me want to harvest so i wont have any ruined buds but i also want them to be harvested on time

I just harvested a week, week an a half ago when it was raining for multiple days in a row and in the 30-40 degree range at night 50-60 in day time. And i had to dry in a cheap thin metal shed.. Humidity at 90%+ So i ran a extension cord from my house to he shed plugged in a heater and a fan, an 6 days later i had dry bud and NO mold. In the cure jars now. So i would say your good

Dehumidifiers dont work if your always pulling in new air and they are usually pretty lame anyway.

Your humidity spikes at night because the lights arent causing it to have false readings.

false readings? ive never heard of this caused by lights

I live in the Smokies and I don't have A/C so I always see 70+RH at night. It's a huge problem on my outdoor grows-bud rot is a common result. My indoor grows also see 60+RH during flower but the primary reason I don't get rot is good air movement in my grow space. It's not ideal but it does work.

My Rh was stuck in a danger zone of 79 after adding a 45 pint LG dehumidifier I now have total control of the Rh and it’s at 40.
At 79 pm was beginning to set in, I don’t see them as lame at all,

At 79 pm was beginning to set in, I don’t see them as lame at all,

Open a window and they are lame, they cannot keep up with fresh air supply but in a reasonably sealed room control may be had albeit you cant vent much then

I did have a window open. Nothing would bring the Rh down except a dehumidifier. I tried everything that was my last option and the only thing that worked. Growing in my den inside of a tent. Had I not purchased one I’d be done because of Powder Mildew, depending on the growers location a dehumidifier may be neeeded. Definitely not lame or a waste for my location. It just doesn’t seem like good advice that would work for everyone, especially not me.

Not sure how you are managing that except that the light radiation is causing the humidity probe to read wrong.

No says the windows open but magically keeping the humidity down despite all that new air no machine can keep up with hmmm....

You’re the one who said open the window, I was saying I already tried that ,and adding a space heater . Now I’m dumping 45 pints every 12 hours and holding steady at 40rh, which lets me know I definitely needed the dehumidifier. I have 3 devices reading the Rh 2 are at 38 and the other at 40. I doubt they’re all giving false readings. Maybe you’re just wrong .
Btw the dehumidifier also has a digital reading it’s also at 40rh.

Man if your really a week from harvest, water as little as possible, keep your fans on during lights out. If you have a bushy room then strip those lower leaves and get some air flow and heat to the base of those plants. Over watering causes high humidity. That’s my advice, good luck

I said if the windows open not to open it, that will depend on your climate and environment.

If you manage to lower humidity thats great but needs a sealed room somewhat and that can be problematic again.

Ughhhh.., unfortunately it won’t be because I had this Apple Chem Herm lol. I tossed it and have 8 plants left but that sucker got around. I was ready to scrap it but encouragement from a few awesome members here kept me going. I’m confused about the sealed room part, I thought that was only for co2. It’s inside the tent and when the lights are on the vents are open.
I’ll read up.
