In my experience, anything 'Ecoscraps' sucks. To further the conversation, according to Canna : "
  • TERRA nutrients are not recommended on North American bulk grade peat products that lack a nutrient starter charge and longer term pH control. (CANNA Substra is a better choice in this case)
I would check on what makes up your Ecoscraps soil. Also, if you're feeding Nutes once a week, Rhizo once a week and then water in between, you may want to consider the possibility of over watering, especially if the plants aren't doing well.

Ecoscraps soil
Terra vega nutes about once a week
Rhizotonic about twice a week ( once mixed with the terra vega)
Plain filtered water in between those
aside from all the other good advice already in this thread, i wonder:
which specific ecoscraps mix? the potting mix right? that company makes a few products.

once a week + twice a week + in between, are those all separate waterings?
your soil should be getting completely dry between watering. the pot should weigh almost nothing. don't judge by dry topsoil. judge by weight.

i recommend using better soil. Fox farm ocean forest or Roots organic original potting mix.

at the very least, it should be dry down to the middle knuckle on your pointer finger. and i mean dry, if it feels even damp, wait another day.
the top of a plant can't grow bigger than the roots supporting it. and roots won't grow if you don't give them a reason. why bother to seek out water and nutrients when they get delivered right to you? make the roots work a little, and the top will start to grow again.

Filtered from my fridge through the GE filter, then left to sit out to cool with ph lvls at 6.8

My total wattage on the T5s are 216, it was about an inch away when I saw them I moved them to 2 and a half inchs.
the seeds were bought in a dispensary.
You're not properly adjusting your pH levels and do not mention PPM so I suspect you're not checking that either; you need to buy meters, good luck

Question: Did you up-pot or start from seed in a 2gal Smartpot? I've had good luck starting seeds in solo cups>~half-to-1gal> 7gal SP, drilling holes in any plastic pots used to help allow oxygen diffusion into the roots... Also, i've had luck starting seeds with 2 or 4 2ft t5's, at about 7-10 inches from tops (being gentle with new seedlings and then adding light after ~1week)
I germd then went to a 1 quart then to 2 gallon
I know I started these goals all kinds of bad.

Yes the organic potting mix. And the waterings have been about 3 times a week, I've been trying to make sure it was dry up to my big knuckle and making sure the pots felt light

Not really sure how the ppm works. As for as the nutes I've been using I've been going half strength on all of them.

And I am using a pH meter, my reading was 6.8 after I let the water sit I havent tested my run off those.

If I'm missing a step is there a good link to help with ppm and pH?

This is still my firat grow and I have been reading on tons of forums but there is an incredible amount of info to retain but I'm willing to learn.

I looked up your soil and its not great but its not horrible. Looking at your pictures though it looks like it has a lot of wood chips/sticks in it. Thats not ideal. Next time I would use a higher quality potting soil like the ones i mentioned above.

Weight is better than using your knuckle or anything else. And the pot should be LIGHT. fill up a pot of dry potting mix and compare it to your pots. wait till they weigh the same before u water.
when you do water, give plants enough for 20% runoff. meaning if you give a plant 5 litres, 1 litre should come out the bottom of the pot. then wait till its completely dry again.

Cheap pH meter from Amazon or a quality pH meter? If cheap, it's more reliable to just to use the color changing drops.

However, a cheap PPM TDS meter from amazon will be able to test the quality of your water and allow you to control how much you're actually feeding your plants.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FPG89CE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 works for me

The dry pot idea is great! I'm going to do that until I get it down. As for the pH meter it's just the 13 dollar one on amazon that only does pH. I'll check yours out!

Don’t use that meter for pH. Check out the color changing drops. Much easier to use. The meter I linked is only for PPM. Different than pH
