Strange plant problem

Hello everyone,
Before I start I would like to include some history about this plant:
This plant has suffered from over watering and some root rot in the past. I was able to save it and it fully recovered. (The plant was barely alive, Had 2 tiny green leaves on it left that literally made it survive and recover to what it is today. After dealing with all the root rot and the plant started growing again.

As you can see in the picture.


My question is what is wrong with the plant at the moment? some of the leaves are underdeveloped, ex. one of the fingers is majorly smaller than the other fingers on one of the leaves. There is some discoloration to the leaves with like a wavy pattern.

growing in coco, using chemical fertilizers, lights are cfl, (1 week ago the lights were too close to the plants)(could this be the issue)? I'm using 3 cfl 6500k 28w and 2 t5 2700k tubes. Water is mineral bottled water, they state their ph is 6.8

so by saying "they state 6.8ph" I am assuming you never actually checked it? Also when you say mineral water which exactly?

Found this as well "Bottled mineral water contains up to four times as much calcium and magnesium as regular tap water". Also FYI mineral water has a lot of salts in it, add in your nutes and your ppm is probably off the charts. What is your ppm of the water you are feeding it?

My opinion:

1. You do not have a ppm meter or a ph meter, issue right there
2. You have no idea what the ph of the water is, 6.8 is what the bottle company says (could be or couldn't be), add in your nutes, than what is it? you have no idea
3. You have no idea what ppm is going in and out, you have no idea what ph is going in and out
4. You're using mineral water with a high TDS already in it 390ppm, a good amount of salts before even adding nutes to it
5. You are feeding a plant all that ppm with nutes that looks 2 weeks old at best.

IMHO You have nutrient locked out your plant. Stop using mineral water. Get a PH meter. Get a PPM meter. Than you can fix your issue.

"Nutrient lockout is a term that simply means a plant is unable to access a particular nutrient or group of nutrients from the soil or grow medium around it. ... Symptoms of nutrient lockout are similar to nutrient or leaf burn and nutrient deficiencies: stunted growth, and lifeless, yellowing leaves."

The plant does not have stunted growth and is actually growing really fast. The plant had a problem with overwatering in the past which I believe may have attracted fungus gnats in the past. This caused for all the leaves to start yellowing and browning in the past. I water all my plants with the same water and they look all healthy except for this one. I will take your advice on everything you just gave me though. What could be the problem though?

6.8's too high for Coco, 5.8-6 for best results (do I see early mag issue?), good luck!

I doubt it, the mineral water has 4 times the amount of cal and mag than tap water lol. Its def locked out, either from too high of ph or ppms. If locked out it will show various sorts of deficiencies because it isn't getting any nutrients, and I don't see coco being very forgiving with ph and ppms lately. Maybe some coco experts can chime in.

You can ph the water before you pour it in, than check the run off ph. 5.8 is the happy place for coco

Not really. Not all plants are the same, and considering it had already been stressed by over watering etc. the roots might be weaker/sensitive than normal, who knows. Lots of people have 6-8 plants in a grow room, and not all show signs of issues. I have 4, one looks unreal, and the other 3 not as good, they all have been taken care of the exact same. The other 3 developed some issues, the good one didn’t. The good one is also a few inches taller than the others.
