7Ft ceilings HELP!

Hello. Planning to use (1000w hps. I'm building and 16x16x7 room inside of a garage. I need help on which lights to use. My first thought was 1000watt hps will be too high and 600w wouldn't give it that extra yield. I was thinking abut 750w hps lights or 1000w reduced to 750w?

Current growing method:
8 Lights
9 plants per light (total of 72 plants)
5 gallon soil
General hydroponic nutes trio + extras
plant vegged 20-30 inches
topped and veg 10 days then flower.

Yield. Looking to be about 1.2lb-2.6lb per light

If DE HPS is no go then try a low pro single HPS hood.

That was my first thought, I need to find them at a lower price. They're kinda pricey if you get where im coming from.

With 7ft ceiling height I wouldn’t recommend 1000s. A friend of mine had 4 gavita dbl ended 1000s open hoods in a 12x12 with 8ft ceilings, co2 burner, 3ton mini split yada yada. He recently switched to 750s and is having much better results. His ambient temps were always in check with the 1000s but with the low headroom we really think that the 1000s were putting off too much radiant heat for the height in his room. In the same breath I use 600s in air cooled hoods with 5ft ceiling height and keep my lights pretty close to the canopy without any issue.

A good a/c hps with an adjustable ballast hortilux bulb costs $550 here locally and a 630 cmh costs about $450-500 here. I wish I had some of the Craigslist options or used items at a hydro store. I just dont, there isn't even anything around here.
