No..The galvanised heat sink is bolted (by two bolts) to the aluminium channel (the frame). if replacing a stuffed strip or driver you can just unbolt the gal strip and replace with a new strip pre fitted with driver and strip (The TCI ones come as a pair and I have at least one spare). Or you could chisel off the driver and strip (its broken anyway remember) and then clean the gasket glue off the gal strip (not that time consuming as you would know if you have done it on a engine block before) and re use strip. I have a few lengths of gal strip so id just toss and replace with a new one.
But yea my design isn't the prettiest but its all real easy to take apart and put back together. I like simple.
