Hey Guys,

I made a little time-lapse video of the growth so far, just wondering what you think? I think it's incredible to see actual growth by the hour.


Does anyone know why the plants flop down a few hours before lights out? I thought it might be lack of water, but tried watering them manually when they flopped but they didn't come back up. Is this just the natural process of the plant?

Thanks again for such a great forum. I love reading and posting here.

Cool! I went from 24/24 for the first two weeks, then 20/4, now I'm 20/6. Is it better to decrease until 12/12 or just flip them? I'm going to flip them in 2 weeks time.

Do you have lights on during a day or night? If it is on during a day it may be dropping in temperature at night brings leaves down.

Nice video and plants by the way.

Thanks man. Yes lights are on 6am until 12am. I didn't think about that. However I live in the tropics, so the room is aircon all the time. I'll double check temps. Good point!

I just figure it out for a similar situation I had. It was much worse with my plants leaves by the look to what you have.

I had one cold night and I set a fan that way that it was pushing a cold night air into my cabinet. The lights were on in my cabinet as it is cheaper for electricity to run growing at night. When I opened it in the morning all my 7 plants had leaves dropped down like they were highly overwatered. Once the lights came later that day in 6 hours they all recovered in minutes.

I am in subtropics with high humidity and quite hot summers but summer is only coming. We had a few 10-14C nights a few weeks ago.
My cabinet is in enclosed area but one wall of the cabinet has exhaust hole to a dirt area. That area is exposed to outdoor temperature as it has one wall open to outdoor. So there was no surprise that a very cold air was blowing on my plants for quite a long time this night.

Just checked. Temps the same. Doesn't dip below 26 deg C at night. :)

Plants are amazing ,when you go into there Life cycle,.and the certain things they do to combat problems they come across .Natural Defences,and They way they can get there seeds,to lay dormant for years,if the conditions are not right,For them to Germinate.Life of Plants Wildlife on BBC One,is well worth a watch if you get time.

I've got one plant that droops before lights out and the others don't move even in total darkness. They still reach for the sky even at lights out. Of course they're flowering, may be the difference. I see it in veg more.
