About to bin my 3 month old plant!

Been struggling for a while with certain deficiencies, I think feeding it my 450ppm tapwater for first 2 months locked out nutrients.

Should I bin this or what? Even new growth is hooking. Most fan leaves have been lost due to the issue shown in the pic of the single leaf.

Any idea what it is? I’ve fed it no nutes for
The past week, just DI water and it’s not getting better. Worse in fact.

Medium is Coco/peat with guano amongst other things. 250w hps, temp humid fine, ph fine, runoff ph fine. Runoff currently at 350ppm after flush 1 week ago.

Should I just bib and start over?

If your medium is coco then you should be feeding with every water. You say ph is fine but do not list it. What is the ph of your feeding solution? I, personally, would not throw it out as you can still get some useable amount. Do you know what makes up the 450ppm water? You can find out that info online, usually.
TLDR:
Keep it and figure it out so it doesn't happen again.:weed::weed:

Sorry dude, posted so much about this damn plant I couldn’t even be arsed! The PH is usually around 6, though run off always around 6.2 as there is magnesium limestone in the coco. Pic shows the water with an abundance of calcium, and stopped because the damn thing seemed to have been clogged up with calcium from the tap, so wanted to give it a week of no nutes. And also there is some nutes already in the medium, so it’s not getting nothing.
It was burning left right and centre. Hooking, yellowing, wanted to try to clear out the root zone then go back to nutes.

As you can see there is all sorts in the tap water

if not bugs, it looks like a bad phosphorus deficiency, pH in coco for P should be around 6.
It has phosphorous rich guano in the medium. I think something else has locked it out! I flushed and given plain water for a week but zero improvement !

no bugs either?
overwatering can lock out P, plant does look droopy which could be over watering symptom.
too much iron and/or zinc can also.

if those aren't the issue and your environment is on point, you could try watering with a more acidic water maybe like 5.5.

I literally just watered yesterday, and prior to that it was light as a feather to pick up. Dry through. Also, because there is magnesium limestone, any ph put in, it always comes out at 6.2! Lol. But I’ll happily give anything a try to be honest!

Sorry for the bad luck, next start I'd recommend you try soil for at least a few runs, good luck!

it would be in your best intrest to figure out the problem so you dont have to go through it again.
soil/soilless mix? bagged or did you mix? whats in it?
what nute line are you using? going with that companies feed chart?

You'll need to determine how much coco makes up your medium (you said it was coco and peat). If there is a high percentage of coco, you may be experiencing some of the issues coco presents, ie. coco doesn't like to be dried out completely , coco hangs onto Mg and Ca and don't water coco with 'empty' water. If the majority of the mix is peat you'll have to address the grow more like a 'soil-less' grow. I'm not sure why manufacturers are doing these 'hybrid' mixes...they seem to cause a lot of issues for people. Perhaps next time you should go with one or the other in terms of the medium, but not a mix. Never the less, I wouldn't give up. This is where you learn something, so try to bring her back while you prepare for your next grow. Use it all as a learning experience...good luck.

It’s 40% coco and 60% peat. Yea I figured it’s easier to have one or the other, and to be honest, because I was feeding it my dirty tap water, It got all kinds of issues which seemed to range from nitrogen toxicity to phosphorus deficiency, looked like it had magnesium deficiency, there was so much going on I didn’t know where to start. As the medium was already fertilised, I mean, with De ionised, I was putting straight water through at 004ppm and the runoff was around 1000 so I didn’t want to nutr it any further when it already had signs of burn and toxicity, I wanted to try clear it a bit first. Runoff now is at around 400ppm.

You’re right, I’ll continue; I just wasn’t sure if there was any coming back as it’s lost 60% of its fan leaves so far, but I will see if we can get it back to health. As I still have clawing leaves would you suggest minimal nitrogen?

Also, next grow I think I’m going to go with soil! Appreciate the responses ladies and gentlemen!

It’s 40% coco 60% peat mix, and it is pre fertilised. You can see the stuff here https://www.growell.co.uk/growing-media/soil/tropic-bat-mix.html

I’m using GH nutes, and started at quarter strength (whileat still using my tap water) then burnt the shitballs out of it so moved over to de ionised on quarter strength and it just kept going down hill. Sprayed some Epsom salts on the leaves and I feel like that destroyed everything 10x more! I was speaking to someone that said as my calcium content of my tap is so high, that can lock out many other nutrients, and he explained some of the science of nutrient absorption, and what can lock out what, and I have a high calcium to... something ratio in the tap which likely locked out a few other nutrients. Which is why I just wanted to run through some water without bytes for a week to see where I stand! Not sure if that information helps anyone diagnose, but that’s pretty much the story!

no perlite or any aeration? i understand there is many ways to grow a plant but i believe a potting mix needs good aeration to prevent root rot, soil compaction, and poor water/air retention, and other issues.

Thanks for the replies guys.

So update, I’ve given the plant nutes at the reccomended levels, and there is no real improvement. All leaves have crisp and dried and fallen off or been gently touched and fell off. New leaves grow but instantly turn yellow/brown/red and crispy and die.

I have noticed some reddish colours appearing on the leaves which turn to brown, and kind of stiff but crunchy. Is this phosphorous deficiency? It’s just stumping me as I know my medium has phosphorous rich guano. Could it be too much phosphorous?

Plant is looking so frail with no leaves, and on the growth tips it’s a brown/white/burnt/yellow twisted mess (as seen in pics)

Any ideas on how to remedy guys? I’ve incouded some pics of the growth, in shitty light, and the plant, and a pic of a leaf I pruned to show you what’s happening to pretty much every leaf, under normal lighting.

Any help appreciated!

Lockout maybe? I just don’t know what to do. Was thinking to add an extra dose of bloom with the next feed to see if anything improves? I just don’t know to be honest! Pulling my hair out over here lolll
