Ok, i’m planning to do spreadsheets with the data, but that will take some time.

Thinking some people would put up with my chicken scratch for info, so here goes.

Data for single 96, on an individual hlg-240h-54A.

Two sets of data: one at 12” ht, other 18”. Each set shows ppfd divided by 1000, for simplicity (this means 1.0 in table = 1000ppfd, 0.5 in table =500 ppfd, etc.). Each set of data has 5 tables for 5 diff wattage levels at that height.

The tables show readings at center of each 6” square, on a 4x4 grid. The reading directly under center of light is the one to right of each table.

Max wattage at 12” and 18” was taken on diff drivers, one cranked higher than other.

Still working on 24”, 36” heights....

Lots of work here, so keep your negative comments to yourself, i am well aware of how shitty the presentation is....

A single light doesn't get you much, by itself...but you start to understand how they work..stay tuned cuz when you hang it with another/others the real benefit of these lights becomes clear...
I think someone needs to eat a shoe that's pretty close to the cmh unless I'm reading it wrong.

moving from center to corner, of the 340w, 18", you see, 1020, 900, 400, 200, 100.
looking at the map of a 315w cmh 18". you see, 748, 515, 357, 155, 61

i have no dog in this fight but will donate a shoe if someone will eat it.

question though. why did you round the numbers? that will be questioned.

As i said, for simplicity...

The actual readings are exactly what came off the apogee, when i put the spreadsheets together, if someone wants to look at each table filled with mostly 3-4 digit numbers, they can be my guest.

In reality the difference between 02 and 48 ppfd or 51 and 98 ppfd for growing ganja is didley squat...people who want to argue about that shit are pedants!

Not worth my time...but the numbers will be available....lol

If this shit has the spread of cmh I will eat my fuckin shoe. My guess is if you turn that shit up that high you'll fry the shit out of plants right under and the corners will be dark... If its even comparable I will buy one as soon as the numbers come in.. and put some hot sauce on my shoe
We’re all anxiously awaiting the after dinner burp...

And pics of the new light...

Lol...
You may have to spell it out with a side-by-side par map...i’m done w this shit for today....lol
Hahaha I'm happy with your results crude maybe but they work. they proved this is an equal match for a 315 cmh if hlg comes out with a reflector it would probably improve those numbers slightly. At the end of the day hps is dead these can at least match hps for the same/less money.

Can’t wait to crank all 8....

Hey guys with the HLG 240H 54B driver, can I hurt this board messing with the VO adjust? Just now trying to set the things up and don't want to burn up anything. Thanks

Hey if those charts are right the spread is wayyy better than I would have expected and yet not as intense in the middle. I had thought I saw an earlier chart that said 1250 at 18" 240w, but I clearly must have been mistaken. I guess the question now is how to cool it? Any ideas?

So from that chart a couple of those on a 320 for a 3x3? I like my strips but if those #s are correct youd be able to light a 3x3 with a "ghetto" build for around 300. Im actually fuckin amazed. Am I reading the chart right?

For that 360watt table, i cranked both Vo and Io to max, it actually went higher than360, but the driver was buzzing and the light went disco, flashing so f’ing fast i thought i was going to go into convulsions, so i backed Io back down till ligjt was stable: where Vo was 60.1v ...

I don't recco doing this, especially for extended period, i did it so a guy could have an excuse to eat his shoes.....lol

but cranking Vo to 56.6 and then adjusting Io to get 240w should be ok, if you can handle the heat...

You may have seen that, quick and dirty... these were done pretty much like a lab would do...

So, if you ran 1 96 in a 3x3 at 12” at 160w, you’ld get:
AAAF2D6D-0B51-4957-99B7-A0B84590560A.jpeg

I haven’t done 2 yet, but based on what i’ve done so far, you should be able to get closer to 600-700 at edges and bigger 1400 area in center...w some room to dim further

3 of them would be killer in a 3x3, i bet...

I hope to get to 2 light nums this weekend, maybe 3 light nums...

Here is single 96 at 24”:
2D76460F-7A22-4AE5-9BC2-197A48B680DD.jpeg

Because this height covers veg ppfd, anything higher (except for another inch or so for 360w) won’t mean much. So i wont be doing a set of 36” ht tables.

On to mapping two 96s...
