Two points that have been made that i feel are worth emphasizing.

I may be wrong and this is the case because the roots essentially filter what goes up, but the fact remains it's not a crop you would be eating
If roots filter what goes up why flush if the plant controls it? Some people do eat cannabis seeds it's not uncommon.

I would say chemical nutrients make a difference because organically the microbacterial colony living in the root system and soil provides the plant w everything needed in the proper amounts if amended or made properly etc.

Theres no difference between organic and synthetic as far as the plant can tell they're the same.

Nutes don't get used up like gas in your car, it's what the plants made of. Even leaves that grow on trees 100% natural are still have nutes thats why people put them in compost piles. Ever wonder why nobody fertilizes a forest?

Again something you've never done. Harsh or smoke that tastes bad comes from bad growers who think they can dump 35 bottles of secret serums, alligator farts, and buffalo scrotum then think if they don't feed it for a week it's all good. Faded leaves come from mobile nutrients being moved to new growth, the same growth you're going to consume. Reproduction is the priority of everything alive, buds are the reproductive organs and would be the last part of the plant to go without nutrients. Look up the difference between mobile and immobile nutrients in plants, and explain how you can make immobile nutes move when the plant itself can't.
Because you choose to consume a plant by combustion doesn't change the metabolism and function of the plant.

Well you wouldn't because you can't, It's really that simple. If you don't want to consume shit don't put it in your plant to begin with. Seems some people think more fertilizer equals more bud, it doesn't in reality just the opposite.

Just want to say that if there is a noticible difference between a clone fed properly to or near the end and another same clone fed only water for 2 weeks or flushed (leached) with excessive water to clear out the medium the plants are over fertilized.

The quality difference of the flushed weed is only because it has less chlorophyll at harvest. And it still likely has too much nutrients in the buds.

If both plants were fed properly there would be no difference. And they would taste better than either of the above examples.

Overfeeding for yield and then fading plants for earlier sale has been a method of cash croppers since I was a stoner kid in the 80’s.

It's not just noobs. But inexperienced growers are more likely to accept bad information from someone just because that person has slightly more knowledge on the subject. There are plenty of growers that have been doing it for a while that still believe a lot of old stoner myths and bro science. Thats not unique to growing. It's just how a lot of people are. Totally resistant to change because they are emotionally invested in being correct. Two words will perfectly describe how fucking stupid and stubborn people can be even in this age of information..... Flat earth.

Bottom line is you can't flush anything out of cannabis. In fact in some places it's being used for phytoremediation. Which means it accumulates toxins, heavy metals, and other things. One question those convinced that they can "Flush" the nutes out can never answer is where those nutes they're flushing out go. Thin air is not an acceptable answer.

Now with that said i only found one artical about not fluching and there was not a scientific backing to it at all but a few places had it up acting as if you didnt believe it you were just dumb so not the gratest find. So now if thats what people are finding when they reserch this what do you expect them to do fall to their knees in aww over this article and praise it as the end all be all or dismis it?

Not me I said in an early post when I didn't want to talk about this subject that a lot of experienced growers also flush. I flushed for the whole decade I grew in Hydro

Wasn't until I came back and started growing in soil and did some side by comparisons, first and most controlled side-by-side experiment was with 4 super cheese clones; two got flushed and two did not. They were kept separate but all dried and cured exactly the same. I couldn't tell any difference between any bud in any way.

So for me, now I don't flush anymore, but I also understand why people do and I don't have a feeling one way or the other regarding it, however I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending it. I've read some of the science, but here I'm just offering my observation

For the technical studies and papers some of us use ncbi researchgate and wiley amongst some of the biological institutes that deal with this stuff.

It takes an education to really get into that stuff but yer multiple studies on flushing roots for most crops

I just posted right before you that professional cash croppers have been doing it since the 80’s in my experience. I’m a relative noob compared to those I know in the old industry. I have only been growing 4+ years perpetually but I have tested this with 3 sets of 3 known clones and best results are always the plants fed properly and stayed medium green and happy to the end. But too much nutes ruins that flushed, faded or green.
