and pride, and stupidity
True. Everybody wants to believe they are the best. Few are willing to put in the time and effort to make that a reality. Plus, lets face it, some people just don't have the tools to be the best no matter how hard they try.
I think the most balanced approach is to recognize and accept your strengths and weaknesses. Then work like a bastard to utilize every drop of potential you have.

i've never tried to be the "best weed grower"...i've tried to be the best weed grower i can be. i've made mistakes the whole way, and i've forced myself to learn from them. i don't ignore them, i face them and figure out what i did wrong, and how to do it right. there's nothing wrong with making a mistake. there is definitely something wrong with making the same mistake over and over...
and there is definitely something wrong with giving half assed, half correct, half correctly spelled advice to people, when it's clear you're talking out of your ass

Yeah... i think that is why i try my best to be measured about the advice i give. If I'm not absolutely sure about something I don't like passing it on to others without some very clear disclaimers about the extent of my knowledge on the subject. I've witnessed people who 100% have ruined somebody's crop because of one piece of dogshit advice.

it's not so much that it's better, it just doesn't seem to matter much to most plants. they seem to veg just fine under 3k, 4k, 5k or 6k lights....
you will occasionally get a strain that either doesn't like to stretch, or likes it too much. they can benefit from a different K value, lower K for the stretchy ones, higher for the ones that don't like to stretch.
the biggest effect is from the difference between the lights you veg with and flower with. if you flower under a high k light then put it under a 2700k hps, it's going to stretch a good bit, if you veg under a 3000k light and then flower under a hps, you'll get a lot less stretch.
I believe you have that backwards with regards to color temperature. The bluer the light, the tighter the internodal spacing is...so if a plant has a tendency to stretch..then vegging it under 3000k light will stretch it more! I always used only 6500 K lights for veg and then 2700 or lower for flower and i never got stretches from any strain. This spring i started vegging with a 4K mh light and also used a 4K led light..and 4 of the 6 plants stretched alot! More than what i saw before under 6500K.

I'm using a Migro 100 full Spectrum in my 2x3 space. I couldn't be more happy about how it performs. If I ever upgrade my space. I'll get more of these Migro lights. The quality is just mindblowing.

and they aren't afraid to charge for it.....1000 bucks for a light thats supposed to light up a 4x4 area.....you better be blown away by the quality.....
You are absolutly right. They are on the expensive side. But I like the quality, the temprature, the weigth of the heatsink and the way stuff has grown underneath it this past month. It got a three year warranty, and it is said to hold for a good 7 years. If it holds for half that, I'll be a returning costumer.

Didnt say i was buying it lol. Sticking with my cmh's. I looked it up fully expecting it to be a cheep china led. Was going to ask if he had used any other lights before atesting to the superiority of the light. Then i saw it was a true cob and priced like it....

I switched from my old iphone 7 and went back to droids galaxy note 8’s are nice plus I can manipulate the OS on droids much easier lol.
i got a full 6 inch ZTE before they quit selling them, for 250 bucks. works great, people ask me if it's a giant phone or a mini pad....the only complaint i have is the speakers aren't loud enough, so i carry my little bluetooth speaker if i want to listen to music
