but dispensary is closed today...lol...

card issued 10/24
received 11/5

73 days from IDPH getting app

8-18 submitted app online.
8-19 cc was charged.
11-3 card was in the mailbox.

Seems to be getting a little faster. Not much yet though.

I have been checking this thread quite often at least the last couple months.. I actually made this account to tell you congrats and that I applied through MCO the same day. No card yet but you gave me that last bit of hope to get me through.. hopefully tomorrow or this week!

I’m pretty sure my card came in on Saturday. Person checking my mail sent me a pic of the envelope. I’m in Vegas now enjoying recreational so I’ll know for sure tomorrow night when I get home. Yours should definitely be there this week.

Also guys for those of you still waiting an would like a legal alternative, I found some awesome CBD flower at my local co-op shop. It looks, tastes, and smells like the real thing. I purchased 7g of juicy fruit and 7 g of Durban Potion for just a little over $80.00. Now this stuff won't get you high (or make you fail a drug test) but it gives an awesome euphoric and relaxation feeling. I like it. Just make sure you don't get the low bud quality stuff that some shops sell as it will taste like spice. They also include lab tested results, terpene profile, and all that good info.

Well I had to use an alternate email address but I was finally able to get a reply AND an apology from IDPH. Apparently my app was approved an I should receive my card this week.

When you email them: “we can’t email you any helpful information or inform you of status”

How about you hire someone to answer the phone or respond to emails, it’s f***ing 2018.. if they need more info, they’ll take the time to send you a f***ing letter in the mail via USPS.. wow.. seems very expedient.. What Genius is running this operation?

Ha Ha, your Screen name is your answer!! It is going to get Brutal, this Broke ass State will not be able to process all The Incoming Opioid People after the 1st of December, and The rest of us will suffer with even longer wait times. I am really glad the people on here have already applied.

8/2 Appt with MCO (no idea when they submitted paperwork)
10/31 Sent email, got reply I was approved and card was at printers and should be here in 14 days

Trying to be calm, but time slowed when I found I was approved. Last three days have been the !ongest of my life!

I hate to bum you out, but I just found out your card was lost in the mail and you need to repeat the entire process...... Just messing with you, you thought these 3 days were bad, could you imagine??? I feel you, I watched that mailbox for 100 days, Lol

Not gonna lie, I considered cancelling my trip when I calculated when it would be coming. Lol. This works out great though. Just got back from enjoying all the recreational and get to go immediately into medical. As for watching the mail, I had informed delivery but of course Saturday had 2 missing images and one of them was the idph envelope. So it was quite a surprise when my friend called to say it arrived.

Took my first trip to the dispensary. It’s nice being able to buy the concentrates but the flower prices are way out of wack. An ounce on the black market is almost half the price of a dispensary. Plus a lot of it they only sell in eighths so you’re paying $50-60 per eighth. Hopefully with recreational, prices will correct themselves. If not, the black market will thrive more than ever.

After looking some more, there are some that are around 250 for the ounce. But it’s the lower thc strains that hover around 15-20%. I did get an email today with some sales they run on the higher thc which makes it a little better.

I’ve also noticed most places run a first time special. So does that mean we can switch dispensary every week or so to be a new patient until we’ve been to all of them? Then just go back to the one that had the best pricing as your home dispensary?
