were he and hillary in the same room even? i couldn't even find any news about it..she was as proud as a peacock talking about coming down here and it was like they hid her.

snipes is toxic and this better be her last election. i'm complaining to the inspector general..enough is enough. she was appointed but i heard somewhere that since she was voted in, but i don't remember that.

the one before her was even worse and got fired for her ineptness.

She is not well thought of in the SOE community. Very proud of her Doctor title. But the only qualification to hold office is to get more votes than the other guy.

Snipes was appointed to serve out a term in the role by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and she has won re-elections ever since.

Not sure if you guys realize that some of the larger counties in Florida have to print their ballots in several languages. The Orange County ballot is six pages long because of this. This means it takes longer to vote, to feed them into the machines, to package and transport back to the SOE office. It will take longer to canvas the mail and provisional ballots as well. And longer to do the recounts.

ours was 5 or 6 pages sadly, some people had to be taught how to fill in a circle.

free education just might be a good thing, someday..oh, i don't know why.

All kidding aside, Florida's Democratic Party chose Gillum and if race or a fake "socialist" label is the only reason why a large number of Democrats allowed DeSantis to win it's on them. But I simply can't believe that people who support the ACA, unions, well funded public education and so forth would vote for DeSantis or deliberately allow DeSantis to win. I prefer to be called naive than to think that Democrats are the reason DeSantis will probably win. More like it was a combination of dyed in the wool Republican base and voter suppression to deter or make difficult votes in targeted districts.

People who mouth conspiracy theories are not worth listening to. There is no need to "fix" voting machines when all you need to do is slow down an already slow voting location.

The county officials in the larger populated counties are almost all dems. They are not going to try to suppress their own votes. Money is the biggest driver of long lines. Machines, poll workers and polling places all cost money. Budgets are tight.

There are always long lines in big counties. Then where there are larger than normal turnouts, the lines are even longer.
