method7 and blackdog led glasses are $70, sigh

I bought lummi for $14 shipped, they work great for taking pictures and wearing under a hps.
I ain't paying no $79.
I will never understand this mentality...

Eyes/sight is something most people take for granted...until there is suddenly a problem with it/them. One day your blind and you wonder why the fuck???

Well i wonder why the fuck cheap out when it comes to you eyes. So many people do...it blows me away. Seems to me 100 bucks is dirt cheap in comparison to eyesight, which is fuckin priceless...

Ya LED's contrary to popular belief do kick out a fair amount of UV depending on the NM of the spectrums, LED's are nearly classified as lasers, they are somewhere between lasers and HID's if you stare at them you WILL, damage your sight. It's Called a cumulative injury that happens over a long peroid of repeated exposures.

Be Safe
I just looked directly into led last night and my sight is blurred this morning... if i use method seven and only look down will i recover lol?

I just started growing and grabbed some happy hydro glasses off their site for like $15 bucks, way better then looking at a 600w hps light.

On a similar note anyone know of a LED capable lens to use with a camera? I've been shooting thru my Method 7's but would like to get a fixed lens.
Any lens can do it.

Just set a custom white balance in the camera and the colors will come out perfect. No need to shoot through any colored lens/filter.

I know this is an old thread, but I do use the Method 7 Agent 939's and they do work much better than my Maui Jims, but the LED's still give me a headache the next day after working for a couple of hours under 18K watts of light. Thinking I may need to get a welding helmet. LOL!

Yeah.. but 18,000 watts is a lot to work around. I've never taken so many Advil in my life. Working on a solution.
Tent growers have never had to walk into a run an work under powerful lights. It’s far different then unzipping a tent an simply sticking your head in

i have a pair of bausch and lomb uv blocking sunglasses i wear in the grow area. the light doesn't bother me while i'm working in it, but i can get glowing "floaters" that last a long time if i spend much time close to the lights without them on. not painful, but highly annoying, and probably a sign of deeper damage being done....so i try not to forget, and wear the damn things

Who actually looks directly into the path of an LED diode?
it's easier than you think, just look up, any time you turn your head past them, at some point, your looking directly at them. and it's usually in a reflective area, so even if you aren't looking right at them, you're still getting a lot of light reflected off the walls, floors, ceiling....
