Unemployment

I just had to fire one of my techs this last Friday. He'd been w/ the company for 35 years, but it was found that he was using the company vehicle for personal use during work hours, padding his timesheets for consistent overtime, hiding his vehicle and going fishing during work hours and such. On a personal level I feel bad for the guy as he's in his mid to late 50's, but when I look at it from a professional perspective, he was stealing from the company for years. He's got a family too and this is hard times, especially in the county we live in.

its terrible isnt it? nearly all the jobs going require experience of which i have none or qualifications of which i also have none. when a job does eventually come up i phone up and its already been taken.

im pretty desperate for work i need money to start my first grow off, il do pretty much anything except cleaning does anyone else struggle to find work because of having no experience?
I do sales, which requires no experiance. Just an ability to think quick on your feet and be assertive.

I can make over $1000 a week on 25-30 Hrs easy.:bigjoint:

With the ups comes the downs, I have had weeks where I've made like 200 for the whole week:-(. But if your good your good weeks will outnumber your bad weeks and you'll be good.

The only thing that sucks is my job is real estate based at this point and we all know where that industy is and is going.

Right now my better weeks are more like 500-700 a week and the bad weeks are getting more prevelant. Anyone looking for a good sales person, in person or over the phone but no door knocking:lol:.

I'm comfortable where I'm at because its only like 50 yards from my house and I can work remotely, but I'm always looking for bigger and better especially when the economy is in a downward spiral and my buisness is chained to it.

I thought about going on unemployment when I took the job I'm at now, just because I was making alot of $$$ in 06 and I heared that in Ca its calculated on your last 2 years employment or something??? So I was about to just do that, but I didn't feel like waiting for them to approve me and I get HELLA bored sitting at home getting high enough to pass out just to wake up and do it again.

Sometimes I wish I was just chillin at home though, collectin' that cash I paid into.

That just is NOT gonna get you a job!!! :dunce:

You have to meet and greet, go around all the shops and ask to speak to the manager, give them your CV and tell them you would like a job, and would be willing to work all hours EVEN overtime.

Try joining a bunch of job agencies too, they find the jobs FOR YOU!

That does not mean you can sit on your ass all day..

I got sacked today, at 10. I probably won't have a job for another few months.

The horrid thing is, i have nothing in the bank and Christmas is coming up.

I hate not being able to buy my family presents..

Anyway GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS AND GO OUT INTO THE REAL WORLD :D

It'll help you more, believe me.

:bigjoint:
thanks for the advice man i did go to some shops the other day but there wasnt any vacancies in the places i tried, these agencies dont they take some of your wage or something? sorry to hear you lost your job man it sounds like youv got your head screwed on though youl find more work somewhere :)

Try the temp agencies or staffing agencies. I'm going through the same thing. Got pissed off and told a boss at a perfectly good job to go pound sand and quit. That was three months ago. Temp agencies found me part time work, at least.

They don't take part of your salary, but they contract with companies. The company pays them something like $20/hr for you, and they pay you $15/hr, and they make their money off the difference.
