I had a visit from a growing pioneer of Texas who has now ventured into another enterprise and did many experiments in his day, one was in pots. After noticing his small trees which were innoculated with myco were not out growing the control groups, he investigated. Found out from another pro that myco is pretty much worthless in potting soil, it just doesn't establish a colony. It has no positive effect on plants in pots.

Yes, annuals are different than perennials.

I have topped Dalat Viet. sativa indoors at least 8 times, probably 5 time during flowering with an incredible yield. Colas got so heavy I held them up with dog chains. Here's a side shot under HPS. Topped to 4 main colas and then topped again and again.

Tio Ben..how would you top during flower? You know i've been reading everything you've posted so far and i totall y accept your way o seeing things. Keep it simple..it's a PLANT. I just got my 10-3-7 dilutable fert for oranges-lemons..etc. It has micro elements AND a chart that analyses it's content. Since it is my first grow i was too scared to top for four collas so i've just bended them a little to open them up and go for bushy. I'm 10 days since i flipped..what can i do to get em shorter and bushy regarding your topping technique. I used to have some curly leaves but i just cannot find a thing looking bad right now. Check my thread tomorrow if you will,i will get some FRESH pics. Thanks for sharing..everything..any link to read would be much much appreciated..( i would prefer if you were the author or something you totally aggree with. )

I've grown many a sativa indoors and probably topped a Dalat Viet. about 3-4 times during flowering. It controls height and induces some branching. You'll get the hang of it but you have to crawl (snip) before you walk.

Every time you saw a like on a post you did long time ago, it was me reading all these chapters regarding snake oils,tweeks and pointers,defoliation..i m so keeping them green. I've got my 10-3-7 with micros ready and goooood rain water+ very good tap water. All i'll need..!! I am lacking experience right now and since it is possible to top during flowering, i will get this photo asap .

we were havin a chat on the uk growers thread about bs non npk nutes.....he said theres one on the market for over $300 and looks like liquid metal ffs....way beyond me I don't see no fukin liquid metal raining out of the sky making everything dense...... booolax......plants need light water and nutrients.......it has been shown by radio carbon 14 analysis that roots can actively uptake sugars via active transport so maybe that's why molasses help, I dunno but common don't waste yer money on shit.....make soil with perlite bat shit and ewc etc.....pH water with lemons....easy, peace UB u still bustin balls ha

I have yet had someone explain why the infatuation with K by cannabis specific vendors. You don't find this with normal, legitimate manufacturers. Jack Peters would be caught dead doing a "Grow" that had that kind of K amount. The norm is a 3-1-2 or 30-10-10 or 21-7-7.

Hello there Mr. Ben, I understand this post is old as he'll but I was actually sent here from a slightly more recent post made by you.
After trying to find the specific book on plant physiology, I ran into this:

It had a little more info than I did and my favorite part of research. Accurate citations.

On a side note, I was led to believe potassium could be used up entirely(Relatively) in a matter of days especially in hydroponics.

i just mixed the veg and flowering nutes together for more p and k, i added 5ml of pk 13-14 as well for an extra boost

also used silica guard i heard that stuff protexts my plant
