Airy colas

So done 4 plants under 4 600w lights and one of the plants seems to have grown different to all the rest.
At first I thought it was a hermie to which after online searching believed it wasn’t,
I thought I’d see it through and coming up to the end of the cycle now the buds just look completely different to the rest and it’s grown different types of leaves, it’s hard to explain even with even the photos taken.
The pictures I’ve got you probably can’t see what I mean. But if you do please give me a heads up with what went wrong with this plant so I can avoid doing it next time
I’ve uploaded pics of the bad ones and 2 good ones to compare to. They’re all the same strain gorilla skittles

It happens, nice grow, don't worry about it, some plants just don't make it to their full potential.

Temps? looks like they got far too much nitrogen and I see a bit of foxtailing.

Bounces between 26-28 Degrees
The fox tailing you mentioned. I’ve just Googled it and I think that’s exactly what I have but not on all of the colas?! What causes it? I’m just flushing them now will this reduce the nitrogen? Bit of an amateur here lol

It comes from high temps and excessive nitrogen. You don’t need to flush just water just water like normal with plain water. It’s not going to help much with your current issue either way.

Before i knew what foxtailing was i used to think it was cool when i would get buds with a spongy little top on it that poked out like a spear.

these buds came arpund during the summertime.

after googling “foxtailing weed” i discovered that it wasnt good, it was from the guy growing it not cooling his growroom in the summer, he said temps hit above 90F on the regular.

lotta people dont care about quality, rather how much crappy flower they can pack into a foodsaver bag :?:-x

Being the same strain doesn't mean that much anymore. The pheno's can be all over the place. Just look at the lineage of that strain. It's like the buffet at the Belagio in Las Vegas. With some of these strains these days you can plant four plants and they can all end up different.

I agree with others regarding too much nutes and or possible high temps contributing as well.

Thanks for your help fellas. At least I know what it is now and what could be causing it. Just confused because I ran the exact same system and feed on my last one which was lemon haze and I never had any issues at all with that.

Seeds is 1000% what I don’t want lol. Did it ruin the taste of the good weed or not? Only half of the plant is like this though then the other half looks fine. I’m already considering not even bothering to trim the weird colas

No just the one plant strangest thing it grew almost as big as the other's it was 1 of 18 clones all same strain in the same tent. I could tell something was wrong a couple weeks into flower I wish I woulda just chopped it then

Seeds will not ruin the taste of the weed unless you end up smoking them. It also does not reduce the potency. In fact some people claim it increases potency. I don't think it makes a difference with potency. Some of us actually pollinate our weed on purpose to make seeds. I'm one of them. I've smoked the same strain seeded and not. I didn't notice a difference in taste or potency. In fact the seeded weed might have tasted better.

I just pick the seeds out.

Same. Had a random seed from cannarado with decent parents, but the plant just seemed defective. Grew weird, super touchy, bud developement was uneven and super larfy. Smelled like a rotting corpse in flower and despite the cured buds smelling decent it still tastes loke hot death..
Grew another seed from the same pack under the same conditions and it was totally fine. Genetics can be a real crap shoot these days.

you ain't shittin,it's like the genetics of most plants these days is all mucked up. unless u run the same strain for yrs and yrs. it's still a crap shoot anyways
Genetics these days are nothing but pollen chucks. I have made strains as good as most stuff out there.

It's the very beginning of foxtailing. It is caused by too much light intensity, if not genetic. Here is a pic of mine so you know it's not bro science. the hottest my tent gets is 75. I'm not proud of these at all, and learned my lesson. It's my first grow with this light. I have some that weren't affected at all, so it is also in the strains. My sativas loved it, my indicas didn't. Makes sense to me based on where they originate from naturally.
