Gotto wonder if people that don't mulch their pots outdoors have a functioning brain in their head ? It plays a couple of very important roles in the nutrient cycling process so is twice as important for anyone running (or think they are running) an organic system, without it your top layer of soil which should be your most active becomes an unproductive dead zone. There's plenty of different types of mulch that can be used even a thick layer of compost will work effectively, I usually start with lucerne chaff that I shred up in a barrel with a brushcutter so it breaks down faster then later on in the season after I've built up the top layers via top dressing over the previous mulch layer a few times I'll use sugar cane mulch as a final layer.

This is what I like to see when you lift up the mulch, fungal mycelium networks drive nutrient cycling more than any other microbe.

I noticed Neutrog have come out with a mulch called Who Flung Dung I think it's bedding from chicken farms.
I've started using a mix of sugar cane and horse shit I left to rot for a month..working well so far..the fabric pots are awesome man i should have used them along time ago. they hold more moisture than I thought but I'm sure without the mulch they would be drying out..I'm preety much copying your grow style for my outdoors haha minus the dripper.

If those fabrics are 30s or under they will dry out and need watering within 24 hrs...that mulch helps fabric pots so much
I use the 15s anything temps from 28 or above they need a water once a day once the plant is 2 feet plus

Yeah their 30s ..so far they are holding out for 4-5 days..might be a problem when they turn into trees in the summer heat

Make sure the best , chunkiest parts are done ..stab a pin through the bottom of the stem for a day or 2 to send the trichs up to the buds.. it's a trick I got from ILGM and it shocks it and it freaks out and then pull it up mate
