Growing in unheated garage

Ya but extreme heat is awful for growing bud. Even if you manage, you're doing just that, managing. Honestly extreme heat and extreme cold are quite literally the worst conditions for growing bud. You'll inhibit your yields, trichome production and overall quality of bud.
yep but they still get lots of likes in the frostiest bud thread..:hump:
My pics (good and bad) are all over this site and are easy to find....
Cannabis will tolerate a wide range of temps..look at Gunga gurls out door finishing temps this year...

Word, ya whatever works. Sometimes you got to work with what you have. More power to you if you can get through challenging environments.
People have been growing in uninsulated spacers for donkeys years. We know its not ideal but we don't need people saying it cannot be done- we know it can be- No offence meant.
If you have ever grown outside then you would know that its very seldom you will get an ideal year. It used to be called the bush lottery for a reason.
Home growers on small scales cannot always justifie a dedicated environment. But we can make it work.

Trust me, I know brother. I battled heat with 1000w hps for years. I would shut down during the summer or crank em down to 750w to control the heat. Been through the ringer but learned something along the way, I need a mini split. haha.

My buddy started an outdoor grow in the northeast this year. He started late in july. battled the rain this fall and chopped mid october and still got almost 3 elbows.

Ya the shit I was growing was so hybridized and didn't like the heat. Think about with all these new crosses, some weed is almost evolving into a indoor plant that only likes ideal conditions. Thats probably not a good thing. Think of how many strains are wicked finicky.

Hot rooms are less likely to suffer from the no. one mistake... overwatering, due to increased transpiration levels...

dUDE BUY YOUR SELF A 600W HPS, then you can save in heating...
No cool tube no nothing just some bat wing and the lamp..
What do you do during lights off for heat? I'm running a 600 watt HPS. Temps are fine during lights on. The heater has a thermostat and kicks on during lights off when the temps start dropping.

Sorry I didnt mention that I do Autoflowers..They are excellent choice for that kind of environment..Just put them on 24 light schedule.. I have something like that going right now..
Growing in apartment where nobody lives, so to spare on heating I just put mine girl on 24h schedule.. And it works..Temps are 24-26c.. And I use led

I would have Heater on the outside of the tent ,with the inlet bringing air in.A couple of portable oil heaters would heat a garage up with not much cost.you could even clad in cardboard ,great for keeping heat in.But personally I go with a room with the garage stud wall ,insulation from either loft insulation or styrofoam blocks for in between the legs just 3 x 2 will work perfect .I have built a fair few of those in my time,my own room is a stud work room with plasterboard and Mdf ,insert door .Once the plasterboard is been wall papered or painted it is hard to tell there's a room there .

Hmm, not a bad idea if you grow auto's.

You're not heating my 400 sq ft two car garage with a couple oil heaters. Not without putting some kind of flooring down over the concrete pad. Even then a couple of oil heaters isn't going to do it. But the one that I have inside my 4ft x 4ft tent is working at keeping it warm for the 4% of space the tent takes up. My garage is as big as some studio apartments.

Ya and a garage as to many air leaks its hard to control temps in a garage. Only real way is to frame out some walls, build a nice veg/flower room. At least that's what I would do. But I know not everyone has that option.
