There's a rubber increaser that goes over the nipple on the pump and flares out where the plastic manifold sits into it and the pipe clamp makes it snug. The nozzles off that plastic piece don't fit the standard hose that I get from the hydro store.
To add insult to injury I bought a manifold like the one you posted and it's too small to fit on the pump nipple. But I see from the picture you posted that you can use tubing to bridge the gap and pipe clamps. I may look into that.
The OD of the nipple is about the same size as the OD of the aftermarket manifold I bought
