hi people. i dont like to use allot of nutrients when i am growing. i am using like half the amount of bloom that is recommended but i am getting close to 5 weeks under flower and my buds are pretty small . do you think using too little bloom nutrients will prevent my buds from growing. i know ppm is a shit way to explain my amount of nutrients but its the best i got for now. i think its on the 700 scale but could be wrong. so my nutrients say 40ml per 10 litres water for f full strength feed what reads 750ppm with cal mag its 900ppm. so i mix that with 20 litres
. in week 5 flower should i be using allot more as in 900ppm per 10L instead of 20L. i feel like that is allot

you are going to need to provide a lot more info than that for anybody to give you a straight answer. Also pics. That is a super easy way to tell. how are you growing? what light? what type nutes? etc etc

ill ask the question differently
in week 5 what ppm or ec are yous all running in dwc
i'm end of week 3 DWC. My water is about zero start. About 200ppm after calmag+, last batch was 750 after nutes. I will keep it between 750-1000 for the rest of the grow. I personally see no reason to have a hi PPM. The plant will eat what it wants. If it only needs 100ppm having a 1700 or a 1000 start makes no difference. That is my opinion...whether it is correct or not I do not know. Just need to check PPM everyday and add or not add what is needed. So your PPM is 450 in your res? are you adding nutes every day? or just when you drain and replace?

When running my rdwc I would change the water maybe once an entire grow. Everything is set to auto top off as needed. Also never go past 900ppm and simply adjust according to how the plants look. I don’t use feeding schedules. Hell I only use a one part nutrient for all my grows whether it’s my soil rooms or hydro doesn’t matter.

i change mine weekly. im about to change my res tonight when i get home from work and will be trying 800ppm ish and see if i get tip burn if not ill probably sick with that .
i got sick of burning my leaves so i started using very little nutrients this grow but i feel thats making my buds grow slow or its just because its a unknown sativa strain and im just being impatient. this time last run i had buds twice as big but was sing 1000ppm yet plants where burnt to the buggery

When I do hydro I dont run a sterile rez I jam pack it full of microbes. The growth can be a host of stuff. But sativas tend to run much slower for the most I only run indica.

i prefer the sterile way of growing not that i keep it 100% sterile

so are you running like a organic style of dwc is that what you mean by not running a sterile res

I run and maintain a ton of mycorrhiza along with my nutrients.

yeah ive seen others use additive like that. im normally anti additives as ive used a few in the past with no real benefits but i might have to change my stance on them

i might be wrong correct me if i am mycorrhiza is used to bond with the roots to help with nutrients uptake?? is their another reason for using that stuff

Pretty much help the roots and nutrient uptake. It’s natural in soil but I water with worm casting tea with recharge every watering. And add recharge heavy in anyhtdro grow. Makes for happy roots.this was a couple of grows ago 27 gallon totes on my own rdwc not running sterile.0D415A93-7AE4-4AD6-A2B3-46E8DAAE2E33.jpeg
