How do you clone?

I just use those cheap square nursery pot's about 3" x 3". Fill with 100% rinsed coco that has been precharged with a weak nutrient solution of VitaGrow's micro nutrients 3-10-20, and squeezed of excess water. You want it moist but not soaking wet. I use a chopstick to make a hole. Then I prepare cutting, dip in VitaGrow rooting compound, put in hole, pack coco tightly around stem and set out of direct light. Maybe a dome with the vents open for the first couple days but not necessary unless the humidity is extremely low. You may need to mist occasionally for the first couple days if the cuts show signs of wilting. I usually have roots forming within a week.

I used oasis cubes for years and they were always great, but for some reason I started having bad results with them...clones were taking too long and alot weren't rooting.

I've since switched to good old fashioned peat pucks and have had no issues since. I soak them in tap water for 5 minutes or so, squeeze them out a bit and put them into the dome. Usually all rooted within like 10 days.

Clone in coco filled Solo cups, with CloneX.
I saturate the coco with a solution of Cal/Magic and very small amt of Rapid root.
It normally takes about 8 to 10 days before I begin to see new growth, then I give them another week or so of rooting time before I transplant.

I started these on October 10th, then on the 15th, when I went to Florida to feed folks after the Hurricane, my apprentice took them and kept them under low light. When I returned from Florida on Oct 29th I was so busy with my grow and trying to get over a case of PTSD from the trip that I left them over at his place. Well he wanted to give them in more light so he put them in his flower tent in late Oct. I pick them up on Nov. 8th. They were still very small and had begun to flower. I took around two weeks for them to revert back to veg and I still have some pistils on some of the plants.
They are in their 8th week in the cups. I will be selecting the top 5 plants from the 5 pheno's and will be putting them in 1 gallon smart pots this week. The rest of the pheno's will go to my apprentice and he will flower them.
Then under T5's until I harvest the tent in about 4 to 5 weeks. Then two weeks under the 315W's, to dry their parents will chose which pheno's I want to clone for my next grow, a 10 to 20 plant SOG.
To do this I will be building an EZ clone copy and do the clones the fog method, I think it is called that. Have not begun checking them out yet.

Anyway, in coco I normally have about an 80% success rate. This batch I got 13 of 14 to take.

I cut with scissors than recut with razor blade followed by 24 hr darkness than cheapest rooting powder you can find rock wool cubes put in tray light on top that's it no dome or spraying no heating pad two weeks later 100% every time long as they don't dry out it doesn't get any easier than that , 30 years s plus doing it that way ,any other way just don't make sense

Why 24 hours of darkness? Never heard that before.

Diy 2.5 gal aero cloner. Pool noodles for collars. Tap water and recharge(once root nubs appear). Rooted clones ready to plant in as little as 5 days up til 11 days strain dependant.
Only lose clones when I'm experimenting with taking tiny cuts, so I'd say 95% sucess rate. Have also succefully cloned just using peat pellets and the starter cube trays, no dome as I run high humidity in veg(where my aero cloner sits).
14 days to root, cuts taken from 4-5 ish flowering week plant. No cutting of fan leaves, no dome. Tap water only. These will get binned as I was experimenting with angle stem cutting, straight cutting, splicing the stem and scraping the stem. Don't need them they are overflow.
