Airy colas

It's the very beginning of foxtailing. It is caused by too much light intensity, if not genetic. Here is a pic of mine so you know it's not bro science. the hottest my tent gets is 75. I'm not proud of these at all, and learned my lesson. It's my first grow with this light. I have some that weren't affected at all, so it is also in the strains. My sativas loved it, my indicas didn't. Makes sense to me based on where they originate from naturally.

sativas always do, mine always do better outside than inside not cause of the room i have just cause of sun itself, they thrive on it,i always chalk it up to area of where they are first grown........

Indica's are most always opposite than that, they love humidity for some reason and milder temps, i chalk it up to the same premise......

plants are wierd sometimes.......course then you get the mixed bag, slowly in veg they look Indica, and them explode like a sativa with growth and height......

just finally came to the conclusion of mucked genetics......seem to be happening alot these days.....

me and you both, freaky thing is i haven't bought seed, i just keep using the ones i've got, and making more......still think that last one came off as a skunk, the last one i had came off as a LH virety(sp)
I've pretty much bought all the landrace genetics I can find so I'm done buying seeds. From here on out it's my own crosses and replication of the original strains. I'm going to try and save genetics not dilute and lose them.

To be fair, some of the less stable genetics can produce amazing plants. The Orkle i grew earlier this year from IHG was outstanding. Great parents help, but they got it right on that one without a lot of work to stabilize the strain.
If I find plants like that I simply cross them back a few times in order to make them more stable and preserve that plant. More consistent Pheno expression less chance of hermies more of everything I found awesome!

For sure. I gave a cutting to a buddy who turned it in to a mother plant. Once I'm ready for them I'll be taking some cuttings from that to continue the strain. Having a mother to take from means I'll be able to try crosses and back crosses without fear of losing the original genetics.

I'm sure they can. I just like working with the landraces.

But I'm sure you can and have found some fire. It's all good.

I do love me some landraces. Unfortunately a lot of the landrace genetics I've come across are equatorial sativas and i am really not a big fan of sativas. I've seen some afghani and hindu kush available that claimed to be landrace-ish, but it wasn't from breeders i trusted.

@xtsho Do you have any recommendations for a <10 week finisher with sativa type effects? Doesn't have to be a landrace(12+Week'er). A Sativa leaning hybrid with those trippy sativa effects will suffice.
Thanks.

Landrace sativa are airy by nature.
when you see those gallon bottle colas on phots.. that is normally what you are looking at.

Thank you.
All this talk about Durban reminded me that I had a small jar of what was left after harvesting seeds from a Durban female I pollinated with a Durban male. I got a ton of seeds.

I went old school and rolled a joint. Tastes delicious and is giving me quite a buzz. A perfect compliment to the Gin & Tonic I'm drinking. This is what it's all about for me. Good smoke, plenty of seeds for the future, relaxing and enjoying growing. What a great hobby that brings such great rewards.

C99 is a great sativa dom strain that finishes much faster. I got mine from female seeds, and of the 4 seeds I got 2 distinct phenotypes, both of which were great. One of those phenos got used forone of my personal breeding projects a few years ago where I crossed it to a Sin City Seeds "Sinmint Cookies" male. I've been growing the offsrping ever since its my go to smoke. Awesome taste. smell, and high that won't put you on the couch or make you paranoid.

Nothing better than having your own created supply of seeds from the genetics you've chosen and want. Which breeder did you get your DP from from?

C99x Sin Mint Cookies? Sounds like a fire cross.

I've got some C99x hicock haze beans, I'm gonna hunt thru to find some c99 leaners.
Also have a DP bagseed about 3-4 weeks old from sprout
