Doctors , some Nurse Prac. have DEA numbers that allow them to write prescriptions. if DEA number is in Good Standing and in the System / a Nation Wide Database / then they are legit. it takes 2 sec. to verify ….well on a state windows me p.c. maybe longer ?Patient address, qualifying condition and Dr is legit is about it. And I think if the Dr entered online isn't legit you can't submit so that's only comparing to the signature on the Dr form.
I think most of the present denials were because people weren't following up with requests for missing/bad information. It's not like El Chapo, or anyone else is trying to get access to $60 8ths to turn for a profit.
That they're still taking this long without background checks is ridiculous (and my basis for worrying they're going to try drag it out as long as possible).
I think that is done in the online application to find the Dr you type in. I typed in his name, his name and state number came up. It's checking some kind of Dr database. But they would have to check to make sure people aren't submitting blank forms and typing in a Dr's name for the search.Doctors , some Nurse Prac. have DEA numbers that allow them to write prescriptions. if DEA number is in Good Standing and in the System / a Nation Wide Database / then they are legit. it takes 2 sec. to verify ….well on a state windows me p.c. maybe longer ?
the online app , and the mail in app are the same. app page for Dr. info. has a place for DEA number on app. The Dr. info is filled out by Dr. given back to patient and then scanned and put into pdf format. this is one of the changes after Aug.28thI think that is done in the online application to find the Dr you type in. And if you do, ask what day you were approved and where there are at in the month of September!I would recommend a Polite Phone Call to IDPH to check your status.

No (well yes but no), when you fill out the online app you type in your Dr's name and a list comes up and you pick your Dr from them. That is in addition to uploading the PDF of the Dr certification.the online app , and the mail in app are the same. app page for Dr. info. has a place for DEA number on app. The Dr. info is filled out by Dr. given back to patient and then scanned and put into pdf format. this is one of the changes after Aug.28th

well my Dr. friends call it their DEA number . we are both right... I wont say much more cause I really don't want to give any clues as to who I am , I am from a medium size town , with small town waysNo (well yes but no), when you fill out the online app you type in your Dr's name and a list comes up and you pick your Dr from them. I'm positive, I vividly remember my Dr coming up and double checking his number to make sure it was him and I just read from someone having problems getting their Dr to come up and they couldn't leave it blank.
This is why I say sending the CSV information typed into the online application to provisional letters should be very simple. Everything (and more) that is needed to be fairly sure the application is legit was entered.
It's not the DEA #. It's the IL controlled substances number, my Dr spent the whole appointment looking for his and said if it was the DEA number he'd know that one but never uses the IL number. I'm guessing not using the DEA number has to do with federal prohibition.
I have no idea what the IL # is for other than this form.well my Dr. friends call it their DEA number . I wont say much more cause I really don't want to give any clues as to who I am , I am from a medium size town , with small town ways
Let us know what they say! And maybe ask what day they are on? HahaPlease post
the DEA number is for prescriptions that have controlled substance / narcotics / the IL # is for all other prescriptions / antibiotics ...etcI have no idea what the IL # is for other than this form.
