Sog For Autos

I have a 4x4 tent. 1000w hps/mh i plan on dimming 25% which i assume would make it 750w. I want to use mephisto/bomb seeds/dutch passion. I want maximum yield. Using Roots Organic rogf/Fox Farm Coco Loco. With Super soil concentrate. My question is for a SOG style grow for maximum yield how many plants could i fit in this space? I ordered (5)5gal air pots. But i assume this size would be too large for a sog style for autos going for maximum yield. So im thinking 3gal? If so how many could i fit in 4x4 space? Strain dependent of course. I want at least 1lb. And second question in order to do sog with autos is there anything different i should do? Thanks

Sog is packing in as many single cola plants possible. Think like 144 2 liter bottles in a 4x4 each with clones and 1 colas. No sides. 3/5 gals will not be a sog. In coco id go 3 but soil I'd use the 5 gal and shoot for 4-6 depending on what size auto you get.

That depends how much work you do. Are you the kind of guy that wants to take 144 clones to water everyday? 4 plants means 4 oz per. 5 is just over 3 oz per which is achievable even for lesser experienced grower. Good genes and not overdoing it is big part especially with autos.

Wont be doing any clones. Starting from seed. Time/work is not a issue

16 plants 1 gallon pots or 1 foot square pots and 1 oz per plant. SOG with autos might be tricky as it is not as controllable (every seed can behave differently). With photos you could top them all once and flip it and it is not a lot different in timeframe compared to the 70 to 84 days normal autos take.

Have you chose any potential strains? 4-6 plants in 4x4 with that wattage easily can get a lb even from autos. Just can't stress them or they stunt. Easy feedings and light training is all it takes. Myself i love Mephisto atm.

Mephisto is first choice. Not sure which strain. Any strain from them you would suggest for yield? And 2nd choice is DutchPassion Autos. Heard they yield higher than mephisto. Don't quote me on that. And 3rd is Bomb Seeds autos..Mephisto primary choice

I grew x2 Ripley's OG and got 3.5/5.5 on them. They state 120-300 grams per plant in good conditions. SODK/Hubbabubbasmelloscope 120-210. AFN high yeilder of SODK got 7 oz. on 1 plant.

Less is way easier to manage. 144 plants to water would be horrible. 16 would suck too i am too lazy

These were my Ripley's a week before cut in July. Buds so heavy branches were breaking off for few weeks.

I'm trying to help but it takes alot of variables. How new are you to growing? Do you prefer more or less plants? Do you even care if they are Indica or Sativa? Do you want all of 1 strain or many different? Gotta have a general plan to help me help you.

1st grow ever. More or less plants doesnt matter. As long as i can achieve 1lb. Indica or Sativa doesnt matter. As long as sativa doesnt outgrow 4x4 appolo tent. Differrent strains or 1 strain doesnt matter either.

Absolutely. Fact is i just started in autos this year. $1200 and 35+ strains of overs 200 seeds from Meph in my stash atm XD i feel i do well with them so far. 2 names to really look out for with any help is Swisha85 and Buzdbuddah. They know ALOT on autos.
