Granddaddy Purple

Hey Guys,

I’m looking for a reputable US breeder/seed bank with quality genetics that carries Granddaddy Purp. I prefer regular seeds, but feminized is OK. Any ideas ? No one seems to carry this classic over here in America.

I am looking for that also. I haven't found any relationship between what I order and what I receive anytime I have used a European vendor so I just don't take the chance anymore.

I would be happy to find something close in the USA.

Who was the breeder? I’ve ran kens original gdp and got some good color from them.

I saw that in my search and it wasn’t really purple at all. At least in the sample picture. That scared me away.

This is exotic genetix pink 2.0 I ran if you can find it do like I did an breed it an preserve it. This I believe is the color your looking for.

Skip GDP and go for the original purps, like Urkle or Mendo Purps. CSI Humboldt has tons of crosses with both of them, and S1’s too.

They split up. The new name is Dungon Vaults. And he calls GDP Grandpas Breath. Some of the best GDP, Grandpas Breath, the Purps ect. are not purple in color. Check out Dungon Vaults the have some awesome strains.

I don’t find them to be hard to find. All depends on where your looking.

Ken’s whole breeding program is a shit show. Doesn’t know what males are pollinating females, using other people’s cuts to win cups... I wouldn’t buy anything from him with real confidence.

If you believe the lineage of GDP, it’s supposedly Urkle x Big Bud, and Big Bud suuuuuucks.

But mostly, Urkle is just better than GDP. I haven’t smoked Mendo Purps personally, but I’ve heard good things and seen good crosses from it.

Sorry your right. I should have said most all there strains have GDP in them. Pretty sold out as far as I seen.

I never needed to drop temps. But with the right Pheno pull you can get beautiful plants.

Some purple up automatically. But most need low temps like you said.

If you want purple just grow some Pakistani Chitral Kush. If you're lucky you'll find a green pheno which blows the purple away.
