My plants are doing so well now because of @Skybound420 and @im4satori and I can't forget the program hydrobuddy. They were growing fine but now they are really taking advantage of the hpa system.

I had my ppm at 500 with very little drop but then I got my nute mix spot on and 500 dropped to 300 in two days. Yesterday I upped it all the way to 900 and today it was at 790. My ph is rising a bit fast but I'm sure that's just a side effect of ion exchange due to feeding so ravenously?

What they looked like before the nute fix and after. As you can see they are becoming much fuller and more green.

Got to love the community effort around here with so little judgement. Trust me when I say it's not quite like that other places in my opinion.

One thing of concern is the continual growth of 3,4,5 and 7 finger leaves. It's not just one or two either and infact it's the entire crop. Maybe something to do with high chlorine before but its been a bit. Could be the nute mix being off because I just changed that a few days ago. Or it could be from taking them from dying plants in the first place. I guess as long as they're not confused about being female it really doesn't matter hopefully.

I know this will be a little controversial but on the second day of flower I topped the highest part of the canopy. I'm hoping this will slow down the growth enough for the second and third layer to catch up.

Keep raising the ec level about 100 per day or a wee bit more. I'm currently up to 1.850ec from a starting point of about 1.0ec.

Plants are looking fantanstic except a very minuscule amount of tip burn but so small it's al milk ost not noticeable. EC kept dropping till my addition today so we'll see what happens tomorrow. I'm still surprised by how much my ph rises per day, about .40, but considering the consumption of nutrients I'm hoping it's normal.

Is there a point at which no matter how much your EC drops you stop increasing it?

After rising my EC level to 1.85 yesterday the EC level dropped to 1.75 this morning. This is of course better than the EC level rising but still not perfect. In a perfect world you want your EC level to be constant and neither rise or fall preferably.

Considering all of this do would you raise the EC higher in order to stabilize it and if so is there a maximum you would take it to?

I actually prefer to have it just like it is for you. 1.85 to 1.75 is perfect. that way you know they are eating.

1.85 to 1.85 could be plants at optimal consumption or could it be nute lockout????

Decided to do some defoliating and lollipoping on the girls in defense of pwm. Removed the inside leaves and the bottom 1/3rd of any branches.

not really controversial. just a pruning technique. another way is to strip the fans off the top few nodes. both work.

When you talk about adding more fertilizer to an already mixed solution, that's called an addback. In general, 1/4 strength of your normal strength per volume of top off water is what you want to use as an addback.

What you want to pay attention to is how much water you are adding daily. When you add half of the total volume of your reservoir back it is time to change it. OR, if your EC falls unacceptably low.

The reason you do this, is because especially in flowering the plants secrete a ton of enzymes, proteins, and hormones through their roots, "exudates". They don't use these things, and these things accumulate in the reservoir, contributing to the solution's phytotoxicity.

Also, it is impractical to measure individually the elemental content of the nutrient solution. Therefore we have no idea beyond an educated guess as to what needs to be added or when, which is why addbacks are diluted.

So my plants have been flowering for a week today and my net is up for support. Is there a minimum height you should have the net or a maximum height? My idea was to place the net at the height of the plants currently and then allow them to stretch through it. I'd like to keep it to a single level for the net instead of having a bottom and top one.

Basically in the second week of flowering most of my 12 gallon buckets are full of roots. There's also roots flowing from one bucket to the next with most my girls. My root system is considerably bigger at the same time as my rdwc grow. Here's to hoping there's no clogging but eith two inch pipes I think I'll be good but we'll see.

Here's my tent of green currently and not sure if you can see but everywhere I topped during the first week is growing 4 new tops instead of two and they were topped for sure not fimed.

Starting to lower net a little bit each day until I get about 10" further down. I'll slowly bend them over till I get to my last topping section. At this point most of the smaller branches will reach the top ones.
