Flying with cannabis

So I know all the rules, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any experiences or hassles with carrying med limits (150) on a domestic flight since legalization. Anyone checking to see if I'm over?
I'm off to Alberta in a month and I want to take bud as Christmas presents for my brother-in-laws, I have 300 pre-rolled joints for my sister-in-law who can't roll to save her life and I want enough for myself for the week. My wife can take 30g, but even with my 150 I might be over.... by 300 joints...LOL
I'm just wondering if I should courier it out ahead of time...?
Thoughts?

Courier is likely the most certain to get there in a timely manner. Gonna cost $60+ since Canada Post is not reliable enough. I doubt you will have issues taking it in your baggage on a domestic flight, but being over may spoil things if they decide to check closely and verify.

So every adult is allowed to carry 30 grams recreational which mean your wife can carry 30g rec and you can carry 30g rec on top of your 150

I would however courier the pre rolls out since I can see some dumbass at the airport check in deciding to either weigh the joints or ask you to tear them open so they can weigh and confirm that it's just weed

Seriously it might be worth it to just call the airport ahead of time and ask them how they weigh joints. Zig zags and filters would add a lot of weight that isn't plant matter.

Airport will not let you bring it. Mail it somehow

I don't think I can carry 30g rec on top of the 150g. I think we max out at the 150.
From what I read, airport security does not have the authority to actually weigh the weed but if the suspect you are over 30g, they can notify police. The only time my bags will be checked is on Vancouver Island and I doubt anyone here cares. I'm going to give it some thought, but I think I'll carry my 150, the wife can carry 30 and I'll wrap the pre-rolls up in a Christmas present. If they catch on, I'll plead ignorance! It's only a fine - and I have all the time in the world to go to court to fight it.

I was late for my flight but got rushed to the front of the inspection line, and they found the 3 OZ I had. It was in a ZipLock, they said it had to be original packaging from an LP so I showed them my ACMPR reg paper and off I went, I was in a hurry so I didn't offer to let them weigh it.
