Purple kush from seed

For a little back ground i have a friend that had some purpe kush a little while ago that was the bomb. I remember a good part of the trichome encrusted leaf was purple. This guy always has the good stuff today he brought me a quarter ounce of grape ape. A few weeks ago he gave me a few beans he was saving(i dunno what for). So i germinated them and got 10 out of 12 to pop. I thought that was pretty good. I put them in some styrofoam cups with shultz premium potting soil plus and waited for them to sprout. I got 8 out of those 10 to sprout. So i put them under 2 x 22 watt agrosun bulbs o n for 18 off for 6 and placed a small desk fan next to them.

today i noticed that my seedling needed some water. i also saw that 3 of them were just smaller and weaker than the other 5. so instead of throwing them out i decided to throw them into my flowering chamber. i really just want to see how the strain grows. any viewers feel free to post in this journal

no i think you should grow in the deepest pots you can but i am growing in a closet on a shelf right now. once i get down to the strongest 2 or 3 i will transplant to 2 gallon pots

Hey nice lookin plants, real green and lush lookin.

How big are those cups anyways? I usually keep my seedlings in 16oz cups until 2 weeks into flower, but they are barely a month old at that point though. Hell i'm even flowering a plant in 16oz. cups just to see what I can get off it.

they look good but they seem to be growing slow for 2 weeks. do a few more weeks of 24hr lightin with them flouros to catch up and to be on track, and lower the flouros right on top of the plants. they dont put out any heat if u have a fan circulating the air so u can have them touching the plants.

Yea dude they look good, if you had more light on them i'm sure they would be even bigger.

The very first plant I transplanted I basically destroyed lol. After you do 1 successfully, it's easy going from there.. just that damn first one. If you're still too scared test it out with a male before you kill it. :)

I disagree, I think they look great for two weeks!

Today I moved the 5 seedlings from under to flourecent lights to the next chamber which is lit by a 150w hps. This should really kick them into rapid growth even though I read somewhere that PK is a slow vegger. I will be topping them soon so they can branch out and produce clones. The first pic is the my shishkaberry mom I just finished cloning next to the 5 seedlings. The second one is a temperature reading.

I also think they look good for 2 weeks. If thoses are two weeks from seed then you are doing good! the seeds need at least 5 days to really get started and have any type of root structure.

I decided today that the small cups are too small for my seedlings. So I transplanted them into some a little bigger. I also saw that 2 of them seem to be experiencing some sort of shock from the new light. I don't think they will make it through my selection process Im upset because I #7 was my favorite one.

Those 2 are probably just a bit shocked from the transplant still, give 'em a day or 2 before you take em out.

I disagree I am sure that it was the light and not the transplant because it started before I transplanted them. But none the less they are looking better and I will keep them around. I normally dont have any problems with transplanting. Well today is day 21 and I like number 4 the best it is working on a set of 7 fingered leaves already. Here are some more pics. The first 2 are when the lights first came on
Next are some close ups
After that is my favorite and me doing a transplant.
