They get just as hot as they need to. They should be circa 50C if your room is at an acceptable temp. Unlike HID, you will not lose any skin by touching any surface of these lights.
Actually cranked up to 1400, it takes about 5min to reach burn worthy temps. I should get an infrared temp gauge to take readings

Which 1' strips can output the most lumens?
Where would you buy these double row h influxs?

Heres the part numbers for the double row 1 footers. All them under the S04 are double row 280mm ones. I believe arrow is the cheapest. I went with the single 560mm H inFlux_L06 ones.

I'm not seeing the benefit to these strips in this application. If I just ran two veros or cxbs at 50w a piece, I'd get 3 times the lumens than any configuration of strips could do that fit.

So you think with a 4-5/8" wide 14" long heatsink best way to get the most light is 3 of these double rows? Or 4-5 single of another kind?
I went with single rows bc I can spread the light points out more. Using two strips of single rows. Instead one strip of double row. Plus being double rows. They get warmer. Bc you have twice the diodes in the same length. Yes the double row strips are wider. But you need wider heatsinks. Which costs more. Along with the strips costing more. I cant answer as to what size heatsink for the double rows. Bc I didnt use or order any double row strips. So idk how hot they really get at typ. @ANC uses double rows. And doesnt seem to have any heat issues I dont think. He would be the one to ask about the double rows.

Where? i buy by the box and pay a lot more than that.
I have commerical account with arrow. I work for a sign company. We build and manufacture signs. I order through the company I work for from arrow. I paid $8.22 per strip. I get roughly 40.67% off the list price.

Edit: but I dont get discounts like on everything. Samsung brand products, and alot of other stuff. I get no discount on anything bridgelux though. We only get 25% off of cree products.

H inFlux_L06 strips came in. I got 20 of them. Putting 5 on the Sammy light I already built. Going in the 5 spaces. Removing the two cobs. And the other 15 will b another light build. They are 5k.
